Who do you have on your "Boycotted Businesses" list?

I have twice found metal shavings in my Betos burrito. Still a big fan.

Extra iron. Usually you pay for supplementation, at Betos you get it for free!

They weren't bad for keeping me up for late night study sessions, but we took a road trip to Vegas once after loading up on some Betos and it was awful. I'm pretty sure one of my friends had a load in his pants the whole way there but just wouldn't admit to it. I can't go back after that experience though.

Sounds like a guy that needed to be nicknamed "Beto" for life.

I never understood the boycotting over one bad experience. Some exceptions here and there but don't see the logic really.

My trigger is even lower than that. I'll drop the boycott even when I like the product over minor annoyances. I'm positive Gigi in Nashville has no idea what she did to piss me off (and the answer is really "be her damn self.")

Dude, be cool, that was just my take on it.

Every now and then I run into a place that just didn't meet my expectations and end up not going back. Sometimes we give them another try, sometimes not. I am not a big fan of 5 Guys burgers for example but I go there with my family. But I would not go there on my own. I don't have a list or anything, and I have nothing against most places. I am not really a vendetta kind of guy.

I am not like others about fast food places. I think they are fine for the most part. I like a big mac now and then and a fish fillet. McDonald's fries are great. Burger King makes good burgers but their fries are terrible, imo. My least favorite fast food place is Carl's Jr. and my most favorite is a 3-way tie among Betos/Rancheritos, Crown Burger, and Jack in the Box.

As far as non-restaurant goes I can't think of any places that I really avoid. There are a few general contractors who did work on our house that I could happily run down in a parking lot and then back over them, and then again.

You are really over thinking this. :)

I was wondering why this thread was locked...

Did I mention that I hate NIKE? Carmello's People of Utah? Go **** yourselves, *** holes.

This plus Wells Fargo. I have a Chase acct. because the initial reward was earned at 3-4x my hourly rate, but they'll lose money on me. That, and every time I use the drive through I chuck the vacuum tube out the window when I'm finished. Sorry if you've been behind me.

Idiot. Always allow a 24-hour "cooling off" period after Betos. Don't travel anywhere, don't plan to go to any events, don't sit down, and try to avoid people if at all possible.

This. It is a 48-hour cycle. Betos - 24 hour cooling-down - 24 hour cleansing - Betos - rinse/repeat.

You are really over thinking this. :)

That would imply thinking beyond a normal level, which is hard to substantiate. Even for some people thinking in and of itself is a difficult task, so compare them to others who think "normally" and you could say they are over thinking simply to put a thought together. Other high-level thinkers would be hard pressed to "over think" anything since they are at a level already that "normal" thinkers could not even over think to arrive at.

Oh you meant over thinking the whole boycott topic thing.

Am not.

:P

I think this would be more interesting if there were more explanations of said boycotts.

Dude I tried that and got called out for over-thinking. I think you should give it a try but realize you are on shaky ground.
