Will there be American invasion in Syria?

If you're for the rebels, you're stoked. If you against the rebels, you're upset, but understand the humanitarian aid. After all, this was just light weapons, communication, vehicles, and medical supplies.

But if your government is using chemical weapons, and you know this beyond a shadow of a doubt, you should be all for outside intervention. It's easy to say I would be against chemical weapons usage even if I'm pro-existing government, as I'm not in that position. I'm pretty sure it'd change my opinion of where I stand, but I don't have to make that decision right now.

Nato supplied the rebels for more than two years through Turkey, Saudis and Qatar. All American weapons and gears. I'm sure US knew it and didn't say anything even if they didn't command the supplies, which I'm not sure about.

I live pretty close to Syria and have extensive information about what's going on there so hear me out:

1. Around 8-11% of Syrian people support rebels. See the survey conducted by the NATO.
2. Most rebels are fundamentalists. Main group named Al-Nusra is a branch of Al-Qaeda. They are even crazier than AQ. One rebel literally ate a soldier's heart and made/published a video of it. They often arbitrarily shoot people of different belief. If they somehow gained the control, millions of people's life would be at stake including 2.1m Christians.
3. The USA and its allies blatantly arm rebels. Assad said: Without the flow of weapons, the insurgency would halt in one week.

Now you decide yourself.

As a one sided ally of the US, Turkey opened room for them even in Western cities and took some of them to İstanbul to train them on how to run a government. Pure pawn raising. I'm sorry but the US is really playing with fire in this Syrian issue just for the sake of taking down the Baas regime's 2nd hand after Saddam. It's quite an obsession alongside interests.

The statements in #2 are widely known and are a reason why many Americans, and Europeans, are agaisnt getting involved. No desire to help terrorist groups

Now for the rest. UN released a report that lays war crimes at the feet of the rebels and Assad's government. In my opinion the Syrian government is as dirty as the rebels.

The American weapons just started flowing in the last couple weeks. The main long term suppliers are Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE. Also you should forgive me if I place no faith in anything Assad says.

Can you show that those weapons were from NATO? No challenging you, genuinely interested. I am under the impression that it is Suadi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE pushign it not the "West".

Everyone is playing with fire. To blame this just on Americans is foolish.

Assad is absolutely someone that should be taken down but if it is the US that does it, things will get complicated as it is now. The UN reports lost trust in the eyes of many Middle Easterners since they have no power over USA's "Gonna be done whether you like it or not" attitude diplomacy. This is not the 1st time Turkey comes to the border of declaring a war on Syria and Assad. The alternative to Assad that the US is backing up is like running from rain to get caught in the hailstorm for the people of the region and probably indirectly to the countries involved.

I definitely am not but the US is the main insigator behind all this Middle Eastern conflicts. I'm more angry at my own government for trying to start the war than to the USA for causing all this. Are you acting emotional for the US getting blamed for something?

Lighten up. It was a lame joke but really?

So, you agree it's not funny and somewhat inappropriate, but somehow it's my fault for pointing it out?

Added: to avoid derailing the thread, I won't comment further on the lame joke.

All American slaves governmentally and militarily -like Turkey obviously.

~Well, slave is a bit harsh but you get it.

America is damned if they do and damned if they don't in the middle east. There is no way we can win so why should we waste our time?

Lol, over here it is viewed as we cater to them to much and over there it is that they cater to us to much. 2 way street my friend.
