What's new

Woj: Don to the Cavs for Markkanen, Agbaji, Sexton, three unprotected 1sts, two swaps, and a partridge in a pear tree.

It will likely be a higher usage guy like Ivey or Banchero that wins ROY.
It’s Banchero’s to lose. I think Murray in Sac could put up decent numbers too. Jabari Smith looked a little passive in summer league. I could also see Mathurin or Duren putting up big numbers and getting it if Paolo gets hurt.

Ochai might make an all rookie team but ROY ain’t happening.

Makes sense. Detroit is probably not ready to give up the tank, but I am not sure Ivey and Cade don't share the ball enough to take him out of that category. Banchero and Smith are on teams with heavy usage guard play as well. I just like Utah having a good environment for Ochai to feast

Banchero going to win it cuz he's clearly the best rookie in the class now that Chet is gone.

My dark horse would be Murray if he has a great year and the Kings play really well. He won't have as good raw stats as Banchero, but if he can get within arms distance the winning might put him over the top

Jaden Ivey?

I am a huge fan of Agbaji, and think he will be really good for us, but no way he wins ROY.
OK sure I know not great odds. However I don't think it is out of the question like most do. Consider a situation where he efficiently scores over 25 points a game as a rookie and the team is in the play in game. Still think he has no shot?
