Would you forgive Ainge

Tampering? If there was any, big freaking deal.

I get not liking Hayward...Ainge is just a good GM. I’m not gonna be mad at him because Hayward went to play for his old college coach and people here thought Ainge should trade us assets for no reason.

It is a big deal... players can do whatever, but the pre-existing relationship with Brad allowed them to talk and you don't think they ever discussed him coming over.

There was a report he wanted to be moved before his last season... what if it was true but Brad and Danny got in his ear and said "hey we will just get you without sending anything out next year".

When Gordo walked off the court in the GS series it felt like he already knew.

Check out the ad I’m getting in this thread:

And if the situation was reversed we’d be stoked! That’s just life...connections matter. Again, you can be mad at Hayward, maybe even Stevens, but Ainge was just being a good GM. I can’t fault him for that.

I assume there was massive tampering by him and Brad... I hate everyone involved there, but I support the Hayward to Cleveland trade. Would be great to see him Hill and Hood reunited and for his "mentor" to turn his back on him. I would love for him to experience NBA loyalty at its highest level.

I doubt Cleveland will re-sign Hood, though.

And yeah, Gordon probably partially went to Boston because of Brad, but he also went to Boston because of Boston. They had a really talented team, played in a weaker conference, and were set-up amazingly for the future. I dont think he foresaw having a season ending injury in the first 5 minutes of game time.

I'd still be pretty shocked if they traded him just because I dont think he has enough trade value because of the injury and he fits the team perfectly, but I guess the Lebron scenario is possible.

I agree if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying... Forgive is the wrong term... nothing to forgive... will I stop hating him... nah but I’ll hate him less.

I think he ends up losing some money in the transaction in part because of the injury... if he had a do-over that 5th year at 45M ish likely looks pretty good.

There's nothing to forgive. This would be a good outcome for Jazz fans. Anything that keeps Lebron out of the west and away from teams like the Lakers, Rockets and Spurs is good for the Jazz. Also, I would be thrilled if Hayward was traded to the crappy, Lebronless Cavs.

Doubt Hood would want to resign. Lol

Please god, no LBJ in the west for god sakes!! Though it would be fun to see The city of Cleveland squeal once again just stay in the east please

I would enjoy seeing Boston trade Gordie for either LeBron or Davis. And I really hope LeBron stays in the East unless he decides to become a member of the Utah Jazz. So he needs to stay in the East.

I don't think Hayward is tradeable this year. I don't think anyone will trade for him until he gets another season under him to prove the ankle is fully recovered.

And the answer is No, I want Boston to get stuck with that long Hayward contract for the rest of the years.

The Deron debacle was the fault of the front office.

As for hindsight, I don't want to go into "what-ifs". Everything happens for a reason if you are one of faith. I choose to believe that we have a bright future because we showed patience through the dark times.

So much to be positive about. Lets Go Jazz.

Ainge is ruthless and he knows what he needs to do to make his team good, and I believe he would trade hayward in a split second, but I also have reason to believe that Hayward and stevens have a bit of a hard on for each other. I think Stevens would be very very opposed to trading hayward for anything. Trading hayward for anybody would in my opinion create a rift between stevens and ainge. I personally think Kyrie Irvin is being shopped on the low.

I agree. He is the ball stopper and they have shown they can do just as well with less costly options. Can't keep everyone.

Watch Ainge get Kemba Walker and the Hornets pick out of Charlotte.
