Don't want any of those guys either.

-Favors has way fewer fouls, turnovers, and 4 minutes less than Cousins.
-Favors shoots 54% and Cousins shoots 46%.
-Favors is a far superior and versatile defender.
-Cousins shoots 5 shots a game more than Favors.
-Cousins is thought to be one of the worst teammates in the league.
-Cousins is a far superior rebounder, has better court vision, and is a better free throw shooter and gets to the line more.
-I'd be interested to see what Favors could do if he shot the ball 5 times more per game.

I would not touch Cousins with a 39 1/2 foot pole.

You also have to take into account potential improvement. Favors has steadily improved each season and I could see him averaging close to 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks next season. That's not to say Cousins won't improve, too, but I think he's a bit closer to his ceiling than Favors is.

Some more damn good points made in this thread.

Of course you pull the trigger on this deal if it was on the table. Yes there's some attitude risks at play, but on the court performance far out weighs those risks. Think of it this way, if Gobert turns into the defensive beast we hope he can be Gordon Hayward would be the 3rd best player on the team. I think we can all agree if Gordo is the 3rd best player on a team they'd be pretty damn good.

Nope, Cousins is more talented, but has a "Josh Smith" mentality on offense. He takes a ton of long jumpers he simply isn't good at. His TS% is still rather low this year for a big, and historically not first option worthy.

#1: Talking about TS% w/o mentioning minutes per game and USG% is terrible.

#2: There are exactly 22 season were a F-C or C or C-F had played >30 min/g, >30 USG% and >55 TS%

Shaq: 11 x
Olajuwan: 3x
Ewing: 3x
DMC: 2x(this season still in progress)
Ming: 1x
Stoudemire: 1x
Robinson: 1x

Yeah not first option worthy. Dude ist doing stuff Shaq, Hakeem and The Admiral did...

I also want to see Favors get more looks so I ran the numbers on this season:

October (2): 11/g
November (15) 11.8/g
December (12) 11.7/g
January (14): 12.3/g
February (2) 12.5/g

Unfortunately he's not getting more looks as the season goes on, even though he looks more and more comfortable. He is up about 2 FGA/game year on year. Hopefully he gets 2 more by this time next year.

I hate the fg% comparison in favor of Favors as much as I hate the assists numbers in favor of Cousins. His A/T is really bad.

If Kanter ever tries to pass he'll look a lot like Cousins.

Assuming he's starting next to Gobert instead of Kanter next season, it should happen.

Demarcus Cousins that is.

I vote no.

Even though Cousins is probably the most talented offensive big man in the league, he is also biggest bish in the league. Not sure this guy will ever be a winner on a team that is built around him. He would have to go to a situation with great veteran leaders and a great veteran coach, but even then I wouldn't be surprised if he ****ed it up.

Tainted goods.

He is doing all that and still has the time to be the better player and has a bigger impact on games?

I guess that's the risk/debate. To me that makes him a bad teammate and not a winner. To you his stats say he helps his team win.

Just tell me the better potential roster:

PG: The Wind
SG: Burks
SF: Hayward
PF: Favors
C: Gobert
or
PG: The Wind
SG: Burks
SF: Hayward
PF: Cousins
C: Gobert

Seems obvious to me.

So is it because Cousins that Kings have no identity or is it because Kings that Cousins is so unpredictable? Or is it a loop?

I don't really want a player that could mess up any kind of chemistry we have and stagnates the development of our players. That is not to say Cousins sucks, I think he is a really good player but he needs to be on a winning team. I would be much more okay with the trade if it was 2 years later.
