Then you realize he still struggles to do things offensively in traffic and gets out-muscled/bullied by Steven Adams. Still a great defensive player and potential for DPOY, but All-NBA might be forever out of reach if he can't improve on his center of gravity or hands.

100% certain this trade never happens or is even entertained by anyone in a position of power.

Embiid can shoot outside a little.... I would think he could shoot as good as favors

They did a study where they found that people are obsessed with potential more so than actual results. The case is no different here on jazzfanz.

However, we should not trade either for Simmons even if we could because:
1) We are an Exum away from being a good playoff team.
2) We are a developed Exum away from being a really good playoff team.
3) If Exum does develop, we are a good free agent away from winning a championship. And we would be able to get a good free agent if we are winning.

We have our core. Now is time for a bit of patience and development. Not throwing it away for "potential".
