What's new

Would you trade ...

And yes, it's way dumber than thinking Orlando might want a top 3 overall pick.

It's also a new trade idea instead of the 100th time you've posted trading Favors and Johnson (two close to zero value trade pieces) and the Jazz get back a valuable rotation player.

So it makes sense to trade one of their best players in Clarkson, let another go in Randle, and pay Deng $10 million a year to go away.

Just to afford that 2nd superstar.

You're a genius Gump.

Jesus christ dude. Are you purposefully being daft? We have discussed the extension and stretch provisions that allows them to pay Deng over the course of the next 10 years.

And yes, it makes sense. Just think about it for a second. Clarkson and Randle arent part of their future. Everyone knows it.

You dont know anything. The Lakers haven't done anything but talk up their young assets. They haven't said they would trade Clarkson or Randle. That's all media speculation.

No player is untouchable especially since the Lakers want superstars.

You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink I guess.

Its not media speculation. The Lakers are very open about wanting to trade Randle and Jackson. They had a ****ing team meeting over it because Clarkson/Randle are starting to sulk.

Sorry but Cy is right on this one. Teams typically value cap space so they can obtain talent, and not the other way around — LA already has the kind of talent you look to accumulate with cap space in Kuzma. Trading him just to have the potential to add another piece would be silly. True, they gave up a former #2 pick to clear space, but that would be like saying we traded a #3 pick for spare parts. And while, yes, LA can land top-tier freee agents, remember the type of free agents they landed to get themselves into this mess — Deng and Mosgov.

They traded Russell because they had to get out of 1 of Mozgov/Deng. They no longer have to get out of Deng. They just have to extend and stretch him.

Why would they trade Kuzma, who is great, just to get rid of Deng when they can just trade Clarkson, who is selfish bench player? Just use common sense and take a second to read any of the articles that have come out about the stretch provision in regards to Deng.

You’re asking me?

Neither scenario is realistic. We ain't getting Kuzma and we ain't getting Gordon.
Would you trade Donovan for Lebron?

No. LeBron could lead us to three titles, tops. Donovan a minimum 10-peat.
