I also like Ridnour, but I don't know why Minny would want Harris. Watson has a history with Ridnour that is not exactly good as well.

Kirk Hinrich also seems like a strong possibility. I like Hinrich quite a bit despite not being terribly productive (can handle the ball, can shoot the three, can initiate the offense and make the correct pass, and is a feisty defender [last time I checked, anyway]).

Is Calderon as aggressive as Watson? I like the trade idea, but don't want a point guard that dribbles around for 2/3 the shot clock then just dumps it down to Jefferson. Hoping he is a pusher and passer like Watson.

As far as players still on their rookie deals and young, I really don't know. As far as players that might be a little overpaid currently and not young but have games that could age well and could definitely at least come off the bench in the future, Calderon and Kirk Hinrich seem like they could be those guys.

the PG situation concerns me more than any other position longterm for the Jazz. There doesn't seem to be an easy answer for the PG of the future question. The upcoming drafts suck for PGs and teams generally won't trade players worth a **** on their rookie deals.

The only thing we can get for harris is another draft pick. I would be fine with this move. I hope we do not have to package him for any of our growing stars.

No, but there's more to playing PG than not knowing how to play basketball. Calderon can shoot, doesn't need the ball in his hands, and makes great decisions when it is in his hands. He'd actually be quite different from Watson, but in a good way.

Calderon is very close to the type we need. I don't know about a permanent long term solution, but he'd certainly be better than Harris in the interim. He's a pass first PG who can and will hit shots if they're given to him. He's not as aggressive as you'd like from a PG and takes very little risks. So he has a great assist/TO ratio, but it's mostly because he's so safe. In an ideal PG I'd like one who protects the ball, but occasionally is taking chances. I would love this deal though and it would be nice to have a PG who if left open can bury a shot like we were used to.
