You are going to be disappointed... unless we trade Favors as part of Conley/Lowry type of trade. To get anything besides cap space by losing him. To get grease for other deals.
I don't want Favors on this team given the realities at hand.

The two-year data on Gobert and Favors* is Gobert without Favors (~+9) is better than:
-Gobert with Favors (~+6)
-Favors without Gobert (~+1)
That's playing beside any one of Jerebko, Crowder, Niang, Sefolosha, and whoever else. In other words, not very good NBA players. I am not paying $18 million or $12 million or the MLE for a guy to play 16 good minutes per game behind Gobert.
*According to numbers found by a guy most commonly criticised for not being critical enough: David Locke
This could be good news for those of us hoping Dinwiddie becomes available.
Okay, so trade Favors and our 1st for Dinwiddie and Harris.
Renounce all six guys.
Trade Crowder and Allen to someone fora late 1st/early 2nd. Use that to draft BPA. Trade or cut Neto and Bradley.
Use cap space to offer Harris 4/120 which I think is the most we could offer him. Approximately.
Use full MLE on Cory Joseph.
Dinwiddie-Joseph
Mitchell-Exum
Ingles-Harris
Harris-O’Neale-Niang
Gobert-?
