What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Has this been posted already?

Would've probably been a terrible trade tbh

Some dude at the trade deadline tweeted it and it blew up. Then he admitted he just made it up to see what people believed. He wasn't even a reporter, just some random dude.

The way Locke periodically brings up Dragic tells me there is some smoke there tho.

Dragic shouldn’t even be in the conversation. At all.

Why? He wasn't healthy last year and he's older, but he was productive last year in the playoffs and regular season. It's all about the price for me.

Just think about how good we were with Neto at PG... just solid and dependable... old many Dragic is better than Neto. So if we strike out and we can get him with say Korver and leftover cap space then why not? He could get healthy and be great in our system.

Cause he’s due to make 19M+, is always hurt and does nothing for us after this expiring year other than eat up cap space.

I’d rather spend 19M on Beverley, Caruso and Portis who combined wouldn’t make much more than that.

I'd probably prefer that as well, but Beverly has had his fair share of injuries and I wouldn't want to give him a long term deal. I would assume any Dragic conversation would be after striking out on those types. He's conversation worthy... he's an option... that's all I'm saying.

He's worst case scenario, but he's still a scenario. No one is clamoring for him right now, probably including Jazz management.

Per Andy Larsens…. In his weekly run podcast...

We have like a 25-45% shot at getting Tobias. He mentioned Tobias was not really into the vibe around Philly. Too much drama. His first choice would be Brooklyn, but if the Nets want to sign Kyrie and retain Russell then they can't do that. So we'd be the next choice on his list.

So I guess... if Kyrie goes to Brooklyn we end up nabbing Tobias or Russell (I think). It seems reasonable that we won't end up empty handed. Who knows... maybe Brooklyn focuses on Kyrie and we push hard on Tobias and he doesn't want to wait.

Anyway... there is some hope.

Getting either of those guys would be a successful offseason to me.
