What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

You said they ONLY played gobert and favors together against the opposing starters. I guarantee that isn't true and is almost impossible.

Different teams substitute different positions at different times depending on all kinds of factors.
Guaranteed that gobert and favors were on the floor against backups many times.

I'll take your word for it. In the games I saw, Favors went out after the first 6 minutes of the first and third quarter, and was not on the floor at the same time as Gobert otherwise.

How bad are you gonna lose your **** when we luck out with FAs and collect Kevin Love as the consolation prize ??
Won’t lose my **** at all. The reason I’ve been saying this for months is because people don’t recognize how viable of a possibility it is. So, in essence, I’m prepared for it. Others aren’t.

How is Kevin Love only 30 years old? I would have guessed he was at least 32 or 33. But that contract, though.

It’s weird because he’s only 30 and his contract runs for 4 years but somehow he will be 45 when it’s over... haven’t figured out the math but I know it’s true.

I will be depressed but find a way to talk myself into it... kind of like I do every year with Exum. If they think he can age well and they can unlock some stuff that is fine, but I'm not giving up an asset to take on what could be the second worst long term contract in the NBA (John Wall holds the title right now).

If Brooklyn gets KD and Kyrie it will cost them Russell and one of Harris or Dinwiddie. I'm sure they'd wait until they had signatures, but what if we just traded a first for Spencer and took him into our space. I think he's worth a touch more than that, but its probably close. I would think the preference would be to keep Harris in that scenario... he has less trade value and is an offball shooter which they'd want around KD, Kyrie, and Caris. If they did want to dump Harris I'd be happy with that too.

This FA period gonna be a roller coaster... hope I don't get sick.

So all reports say the Nets open up $46 million cap space by doing the Crabbe trade. Russell has a cap hold of over $21 million. So if they renounce Russell, they have around $67 million in cap space.

Durant can get $38 million. I can't find the exact amount Kyrie can get. So it does seem like Brooklyn still has some wheeling and dealing to do before being able to sign Kyrie AND KD.

Why is everyone saying they have two max slots, then? I’m pretty sure they can keep Dinwiddie and Harris if they renounce D-Lo.

If they jettison Dinwiddie and Harris then they could possibly do some tampering and keep him on a 1 + PO for the maximum of the space they’d have at that point (maybe $20 mil, then re-up at the max next offseason).
