James would thrive in the 4 and backup 5 role for the Jazz. He is getting older but we need some vets. He is overpaid but still a solid player. This move frees up money for Miami next year and gives us a solid vet and a good upcoming young player. Maybe we could even get some pick/s out of it.

Justise is fine but I don't get the love for him. James Johnson's contract is really awful... once he got paid he let himself go. He's always been a little casual... not sure he is committed enough and the money is a little crazy.

To get porter we’d have to give at least one first and the Memphis pick really complicates that.

I’m not saying we could get him, just saying that he’d be a perfect fit now that we have Conley. I see him as a better fit than Tobias, too. But yeah, the only people who want Exum and Favors are us. If that offer was on the table, DL would probably have a stroke and hopefully Zanik is the power of attorney for decision making.
 
So another take on the Boston potential deal... rumored to like Adams... OKC needs to save some money... So say we do a 3 team trade where Favs goes to OKC and Adams goes to Boston. Boston may give us that Milwaukee pick and OKC might send us something (if they have anything they are low on picks).

Swapping out Adams for Favs saves OKC around $40M this year without a drop in player quality imo… maybe Adams is slightly better, but I really don't think so.

Bill Simmons has mentioned Adams a few times with regard to Boston... He does have some sources at the team. Maybe they prefer Favs and we do a deal directly. This would allow us to get a first and then use space to reconfigure the roster... help out a division opponent though.
 
No one wants Exum because every team knows he sucks. We extended him for sucking and want him to continue to suck for us as a few fans desire.

I like everything about that deal except Favors at OKC.

Richaun Holmes is unlikely to re-sign with the Suns. Would be a nice backup center signing if Favors is let go.
