Rate the Song Above You

how about a rating!

I'd give it 6/10 ... seems like it wanted to kick into 5th gear but always stuck in 3rd? Then the song finishes.... (a bit like my love life unfortunately.. haha.. but that's another story for another day)

How about this soundtrack I found while watching a movie last night?

Everything that was wrong with music in the early 80s. 2/10.

Here's a palette cleanser. A lot of you will probably hate this, and rightfully so, but I love the rawness of it, and the basic DIY philosophy. It is a touch raunchy, but no actual cursing.

I actually love the rawness of that song too.. I'd give it easily 8/10.

Chris Knox is a bit of a legend here in NZ and "Not given Lightly" is a National Anthem of sort. If you're a foreigner and you can sing this song by heart to a kiwi you'd probably see tears in his/her eyes.

Wow. 9/10 - love the song, kind of wish he'd gone a bit fuller with the production, but I understand why he didn't. My wife is from Tauranga, but she moved away before this came out, I believe.

Changing it up completely, I'm going to see these guys next month in Seattle. (NSFW warning, a bit of harsh language)

Hey, this thread still exists!

Me & My Army - I probably would have really liked it in the 80s. 6/10.

Ignore all the talky stuff at the beginning.

I swear that's like the unofficial soundtrack for 'Deliverance'. I love the guitar, but the content's a bit iffy... 6.5/10 for me.

I love listening to these authentic old folk love songs nowadays...

Meh, it's not horrible, but I've heard better. Pretty generic hip hop. Call it 6/10.

This one, I've just going to post the link, without posting the video, because, well, it's called Donald Trump Can Suck My D***, by Mojo Nixon.

And, heck, let's make it a two-fer, with Jello Biafra reworking his classic into Nazi Trumps F*** off.

Fantastic song, that I listen to all the time.

Erykah Badu's songs always make me think of my mom.

Love her. Not my favorite of her songs, but she's fantastic. 8/10.
