Last Restaurant You Ate At?

I thought there was already a thread for this but I couldn't find it.

Anyway, I went to Jersey Mike's Subs yesterday and bought sandwiches for my family. I got the Original Italian, my daughter got the Chicken Parm, my wife got the Tuna. All were disappointing. Not horrible, just not particularly good. Will not be going back. The tuna was sloppy with too much mayo. The Italian had some promising meats but they were overwhelmed by the huge French bread and heaps of shredded lettuce. Plus, I asked for jalapeno and maybe got a bite of jalapeno one out of every four bites. The chicken parm was bland and the chicken was a little hard to come by.

Add to that, the staff was particularly dumb. Just a bunch of stupid kids with no one around who seemed like they were in charge. I was wearing a Jazz shirt and one of the kids said "Didn't they lose to the thunder the other day?" As if I shouldn't be wearing the shirt since they didn't win their last game.

In other news, the Pho Cali in Midvale is closed on Sundays now. That sucks.

Rileys has the best club sandwich I have ever had, possibly the best potato soup I ever had, and they have really good fry sauce. I think they add honey to it

Applebee's. Limited choices. Tried some new mac n cheese with some honey chicken strips on top. Pretty good actually.

What is fry sauce?

It's the best **** ever basically.

It's simply a mix of mayo and ketchup for dipping French fries in. It's so ****ing good.

Some people will make little variations of the ketchup/mayo recipe. Some add a little bbq sauce, some add some pickle relish, some add some garlic.

I like mine with about a 65% mayo and 35% ketchup mix.

You really can't do it wrong though as long as you are mixing mayo and ketchup.
I love the stuff. Sometimes I choose where I will go to eat based on whether or not they have fry sauce on tap in those dispensers or in packets.
Sometimes if I go to a major chain like burger king, Wendy's, mcdonalds, or arbys I will ask for a side of mayo and then get some ketchup from the dispenser or ketchup packets and make my own

Some places in Utah simply close on Sundays because of the fact that many Mormons won't spend money or go out on Sundays.... So it makes sense business wise. Might have nothing to do with the religion of the owners/restaurant

I doubt it. Their other location is still open on Sunday. I've seen several out of state restaurants, mostly fast food, start out open on Sunday then stop Sunday business. Just not enough customers. I always try to hit up my favorite places on Sunday if they are open.

This is mostly at sit down restaurants and not fast food, but Have you ever noticed the unwritten rule of the universe that, when ordering a side of mayonnaise at a restaurant, they never actually bring it?

LOVE unagi. I am a true/true sushi connoisseur. Like, crazy ****.. and love it all... but unagi is easy and tasty.

I ate at this Curry cart downtown last week because I was attending a conference at the Salt Palace, and I walked over there. It was super spicy, but super good. It was called the Curry'er.

Also, CupBob is amazing, and they now have it at the delta center, it used to just be on food trucks.
