What's new

Who do you side with?

I wouldn't go out to celebrate election results no matter who won.

Me neither, since I suspect there won't be much to celebrate.

And this is what it looks like when you only support things that affect you personally.

And that is what it looks like when a liberal thinks they can accurately stereotype a 1%r.

Actually, I give a very large percentage of my income to helping (everyone that knows me will vouch).
I do not, however, trust Hillary or Bernie for making sound decisions with the collective sum of it all.

I have no problem with you disagreeing.

Whatever happened to zulu!!!

I think I've gone through this one before. Please tell me how the government has helped for instance a home owner make improvements in his own property to increase it's value, so that they can just turn around and take part of the capital you've gained when selling it. Give me a good reason for this to be justified. It's a blatant case of thievery that they legally get away with year after year.

Then they turn around and spend this tax money in stupid foreign interventions that haven't been approved in Congress and ****. Criminal activity in my book.

Without the state it isn't property. It's **** that is close to you. The state creates and enforces property rights. Every form of government is fundamentally a system that creates and manages property. Without the power of the state the deed or whatever piece of paper you are using to stake your claim would be joke. Without the government your property doesn't have value because you can't even justify that you own it. That's why they get to tax you on it, because they created and protected it for you.

Who is "they?"

A needed poll?

Is public lands "theirs" or "ours?
Is an elected official our boss or our employee?
When you hear "for the people" do you hear a dictator sell my you or do you see it as your right as a citizen?

Just curious... no right or wrong answers folks.

The tendency towards Gary Johnson and Sanders is just evidence of polarization.

I've taken a few versions of these polls and I always end up with Sanders as my go-to guy. With reports of various forms of voter suppression by the Clinton campaign in Massachusetts today I may just end up staying home in November. :(

On many issues I think Gary Johnson and Bernie Sanders are on the same page. Taxation and spending is the big difference but social issues, foreign policy, civil rights, crony capitalism, and more that I can't think of right now they are in perfect agreement. Basically all the stuff that 75% of us seem to agree on but none of the other candidates do.
