Then why was he so good with the Heat last year?
better question is why didn't didn't the heat move in and resign him themselves, aren't they in the playoff hunt as well

Good post. IMO, JJ was a luxury acquisition because of the wings we already had, plus Favors and Lyles at the 4. The real need was a PG. Last year the Jazz went through stretches when everyone seemed scared to shoot, or other teams just dared Burke, CJ, etc to fire away from deep. JJ can spark the offense. He can make opposing defenses honest. And if he doesn't? Jazz had cash to burn. He's here for two years, then gives way to younger players.I think JJ is going to fit in well as the season goes on and he will also help the development of guys like Hood in some aspects of their game or game preparation. But even if he doesn't contribute a lot I won't be upset about it. The Jazz made three seemingly good acquisitions over the offseason -- Hill, Johnson, and Diaw. If only two of those pan out those are pretty good results and a pretty good improvement to the team.

I can only imagine the level of not giving a **** than Nets preseason. Also, just looked at his preseason shooting numbers from the last two seasons... both were bad. I'm fairly certain the pre-season JJ is not the same JJ we get during the regular season.
smh we didn't even wait until the season to start before we started scapegoating
Nothing this board likes more than digging up old posts and rubbing it in peoples faces. Joe played great, I think he was a great pickup. This was one game, he still could suck for us this season. I doubt it and hope not but...
