Sources: Utah has expressed interest in re-acquring Deron Williams

somehow green has turned this thread into a place where we're assuming Lillard is on the jazz. Please adopt this assumption before posting in here henceforth thankyou

Well, when my whole discussion revolves around the premise that Lillard was traded to Utah...yeah. Your advice is good. Or, just read through the discussion and comprehend what is being said before throwing your two cents in.

Either way works.

For whatever reason, Jazz fans are anti-star. I don't know why.

If we want to win a title, we need a star. Once you have a star, you need to fill in around the star with cheap veterans. Not youth. Not late first round picks.

There are a GLUT of stars available. It is almost unforgivable if the stars get moved and we don't get one.

Go get those stars. Then, go get the Deron's of the world and surround those stars with Veteran players. Not young, maybe someday this #30 pick will be as good as a 32 year old Deron Williams.

There are stars available, but to get Butler, George, or Lillard, you likely have to give up Hayward or Gobert. If you give up Gobert you lose your team identity, and I'm not sure, if we are talking about winning more games, George, Butler or Lillard help you win more games.

Lillard is an unmitigated dumpster fire on defense (albeit a terrific offensive player) and Hayward is having a better season than George according to basically every advanced metric. Butler probably a little better than Hayward, but probably not worth trading Hayward for him and Bulls would probably not do that anyway.

If you are suggesting we can get these stars without trading Hayward or Gobert lets go for it, but I am quite incredulous anything else we have gets it done.

I don't think any of these guys are truly available unless your name is Boston or LA.
