In summary, OL is a dumbass who can't do a simple google search about airline profit margins and no clue of how things operate in the real world. Things aren't going to be ideal, or fair. Get over it.
Airfares are actually one of the only things i can think of that has actually got significantly cheaper in the last 20 odd years. Hell i can book a return flight to the US next week for 1200 bucks. (bout 850-900 USD) used to be around 2200-2500.
Yep, bad media will make you so what people want to hear. Just standard PR happening. Damage control.

BBQHey do you remember what was your sauce about the doctor going off the plane willingly and then changing his mind? I couldn't find it anywhere. Only read that he was dragged off the plane the first time round.
No, that is the sauce I used.LOL .. seriously? So you made it up?
No, that is the sauce I used.

American airlines have gotten way more expensive. I remember with Southwest use to be super cheap just going from Texas to Florida.
They do the same **** here Melbourne Sydney return (one of the most profitable routes in the world) 350 bucks to travel about 900km. Melbourne LA 23000km, air fare 1200 bucks, work that **** out.
Haha.. really? Didn't know that. What about Jetstar?
think they're around 150-200, flown on them once, i'd rather go in the cargo hold...
LOL .. that bad, huh?
The seats are just that little bit too small, i'm about the right size and shape to play nose tackle, so its a long flight. Anything over a couple of hours I normally fly business.
Wow good on ya, sounds like you could afford it.
Had a $300 round trip Christchurch-Bangkok on AirAsia once, it was pretty much like being in a cargo hold but it's so cheap it was worth it.
Man my knees would be ****ed for days, went to a comedy gig last Friday that went for four hour and my knee hurt for 2 days. Return flights to Europe cost me, 5500 business which was pretty good, just over double economy price but it was 40 odd hours each way and I felt all right once I got off the plane. I did Havana to Melbourne in economy a few years back and it was 56 hours, man I felt like **** for a good week. That was when I said never again.
