Does Biyombo=Evans?

Byiombo's agent had his age checked by wrist exams (standard procedure with several soccer players from Africa) in Spain and his growth plates weren't fused yet. They lock together at the age of 18 (approximatelly). So the kid seems to be legit with his age. And he has a 7'7'' wingspan and a 9'3'' standing reach. For all the talk about Sene and those guys...well none of them did what Byiombo is already doing in Spain.

Good point.

How do you 'rep' people? Sorry for being a neophyte on this, but I haven't found that button yet.

Click on the thing that looks like a sheriff's star under the post on the lower left-hand corner. It's on the same horizontal level as "edit post," "reply," etc.

This. Evans is lucky to be in the league. If he works his a** off, he might become like a Nicolas Batum-type SF. Biyombo could be a guy that averages 2.5 blocks and 11 boards like Ben Wallace did and be a one-man help defense crew with better offense than Ben Wallace had.

I like the comparisons but I'd much rather have Batum over Evans. Now only if there is a way to make that happen? And I would much more like the Jazz to draft Knight over Biyombo and hope Biyombo falls to 12. Probably both wishes though :)

I love how people compare Sene to Biyombo. Because they are both from africa. They state that they think they are similar but give no reasons why. Just blinded opinions.

Sene was long but not muscular for his frame. Sene was not aggressive. Biyombo is very aggressive and has a relentless motor. He is not afraid of contact is has great timing on the ball defensively. He knows how to use his body. He even has a soft touch around the hoop offensively which most raw guys do not have.

I don't care if he is 18 or 22. He gives you what you need on defense and offensive rebounding. His work ethic and hustle will rub off on our players. He has potential because he has a soft touch while being aggressive. Guys like Thabeet and Sene aren't aggressive they are just long and big. I am sorry but you can't teach guys to have heart like some people may say. He doesn't give up and he obviously loves a challenge after hearing his coaches and seeing him play. These others guys do no compete. Biyombo will be a great role player and maybe a borderline all-star. but most importantly he will provide what every team needs. A defensive enforcer who won't back down. Unlike the other plays that were named.

And the Evans and Biyombo comparison is a joke. You should delete your account for even thinking that.

Am I crazy for wanting to take Biyambo at 6 if Knight isn't there?

I don't know why everyone wants Knight. He is a shoot first point guard who has horrible shot selection. He seems like an Allen Iverson type player to me. Unless someone can convince me otherwise? I would take Biyombo over him any day.

Everyone talked about Sene's motor just like Biyombo, they are also both known for being freakish athletically and blocking shots. Also for having a raw offensive game.

Wow, no way. I really dont understand the Evans love. Sure he is a great dunker, a guy who can jump really high. Thats all he will ever be in the NBA, Im sorry to disappoint y'all. He is 22, his body isnt going to gain that much more weight. Biyombo is an 18 year old man who get bigger and better.

Evans has a nice little jumper. I wouldn't be shocked if his mid-range FG% was around 50%, but I can't find that data anywhere.

It might just be me but all these scouts are drooling over Biyombo. But I believe we already have a guy like this in Evans. Biyombo looks stronger but Evans is probably more polished on the offensive side which isnt saying much.

I think Evans should be our project player and keep him. Because if the Jazz select Biyombo its probably bye bye Evans. There just too similar of players.

Also I believe Biyombo = Sene.

I want to mean here but won't. Bro, you're just way, way off here.
