A former Trump campaign official has a source in the WH that told that unnamed campaign official that the killer made a tape for ISIS, which the authorities found and have, but are not divulging for fear of triggering other ISIS cells in the United States. That's actually a mild claim for Jones, and Jones says "not saying it's true", but, you know, I'm Alex Jones and this is what I do...

Do yourself a favor, and go watch some video of the incident before commenting anymore. Might wanna read through this thread as well, as there's lots of info you don't seem aware of. I posted a video earlier of when the shots first started. We don't need to speculate on reports in this regard.

The shooter was using a modification called a bump fire stock. It allows a semi-auto to fire the same way as a full auto. The shooter had 12 weapons equipped with bump fire stocks in his hotel room, most likely to avoid the issue of barrels overheating, which happens when these guns are fired as full auto.

There are tons of videos on youtube demonstrating bump fire stocks. In fact, I'll make it easy. This is a semi-auto with a bump fire stock below. You'll notice the gun slides back and forth while the stock remains still. It does this because it's designed to use the recoil to fire automatically. The trigger has to be pulled each time to fire, so it is a legal weapon.

Right, got it. However, when a dozen or more independent sources report the same thing while citing different witnesses, it becomes a reasonable to add that info to the investigation. There's more to this story than the media are reporting, and it's strange that the media are so willing to make conclusions without doing their own thorough investigation. It's an important story after all.

Well, you've already speculated on something that there's plenty of info on, including video evidence, so maybe you just haven't really looked into it yourself, because you're busy listening to the wrong people.

A bunch of stories circulating on Youtube are claiming there were multiple shooters from the hotel.

I've watched every video I can find of the incident, and there is zero evidence there were multiple shooters. In fact, if you want to talk about reports, there are many people who never believed it was gun shots and that it was only fireworks. Of course, we have dead and wounded people that kinda prove those reports to be unreliable.

Edit: I've heard a few recordings in which you can hear an echo, so I can see why some people are confusing it with multiple shooters. It's definitely an echo off of the buildings, though.

Here's one more video where the guy actually plays the audio from the Vegas shooting and explains why he's sure it was a bump fire. A full auto has a smooth rhythm to it that you can't get with a bump fire. A bump fire will be up and down and inconsistent with it's rate of fire.

People were busting out the conspiracy theories minutes after the news broke. Some people want every major event to be more mysterious than it is. They want to solve a puzzle that isn't there. They want to be the clever one that sees what no one else sees.

They want it so bad they just go ahead and make it up, build their fantasy, crawl inside it and live there.

None of the conspiracy BS I've seen is even sort of convincing.

It is sad that people want so bad for reality to not exist. It is sad that there are so many people with this mental illness all around us.

Laws regarding where you can shoot vary by state, county, city. But generally you have to be so far away from inhabited dwellings and so forth. Much of open land in rural areas belongs to the federal government. If it's illegal to shoot there I'm not sure, but there's no one around with any interest in enforcing those rules if they exist.

There are a few places outside SLC that are hot spots for shooting. They are jacked up with all the junk people bring out to shoot and then leave there. Shell casings all over the place, old tube TVs, glass bottles, phone books. They have shut some places down due to all the garbage. Not to mention how many wildfires we've had as a result of recreational shooting.

It's pretty wide open. Plus there are some awesome indoor and outdoor ranges in the area. The North Springs Shooting Range has an old west themed town that is a really cool place to shoot.
