Eric Griffin > Bolomboy
I wonder if this had something to do with their decision to cut Bolomboy
Eric Griffin > Bolomboy
How is this the right call. Either will be 15th in the pecking order and not play much if at all, at least Bolomboy has that upside. All he lacked was experience, hell, he's less experienced in basketball as a whole then the rookies coming out. U realize Bolomboy has only been playing ball for a few years. IMO, he's going to be very good. What's the point of having Royce over Bolomboy? We have wings galore. Other then Favors and Gobert, there is no sure thing. JJ is old as dirt Udo has already washed out of the NBA once, and Jerebko, really. Need I say more.
Mark my words, this will go down as one of the big mistakes by management.
Do you know anything about the Jazz history of the last 3 years? Rodney Hood and Alec Burks get injured, a lot.
Can Joel Bolomboy play the 2-guard?
I can't even begin to lament the huge mistake this is, to the point of being tragic.
This team is deep and can handle it

Yeah they are deep because they made the right choice and didnt get rid of a wing capable player in favor of an undersized 5 when they already have 4 centers on the roster.
We haven't even began to see what Bolomboy can do, as he's still picking up the game, completely and utterly foolish and naïve to say he's nothing more then a small 5. Even if this is the the case, he brings a skill set we don't have at the 5.

He can't do much. I get it, he is a local product. People feel attached. I just cant call an undersized 5 with low IQ/feel and a hitch riddled jumpshot (which is the whole key to him being a NBA player, being able to hit 3's) as a guy with potential. He was lucky to make the 2+ million the jazz gave him. The Jazz can just go sign Darrell Arthur next off-season and get the better version of Bolomboy..

I'm assuming Thee Jazz Fan is just joking/trolling. Nobody cares that much about the 15th man.
No, some people here really liked Bolomboy. It's what happens when you get local talent. Hell if the Jazz got Jimmer tomorrow, there would be someone here advocating to play him over Rubio.
Love it when people get fired up over an end of the bench player. Jazzfanz never change

has there ever been so much discussion for the 15th man on the roster? Look I like Bolomboy and hope for the best for him and am sad he is gone but he has a low basketball IQ. O'Neale is the better option
I like him, but it has nothing to do with being local (I don’t follow any college sports, even from my alma mater). What I liked about him was that he actually has an elite NBA-level skill (rebounding) and any other potential is just gravy. It makes guys like Reggie Evans make it in the league. Not many people can rebound at his level without being a large stiff. If he can stretch the floor (I think he can) then that’s a big bonus, and he’s done so in any setting where he’s had significant attempts, regardless of what you think his mechanics look like.
In any case, I think he’ll have an NBA career.
