The Walking Dead

FTWD is really no different. The biggest issue the way I see it is this kind of show is just a video game. In every video game you have a level you have to get through, finding and losing things along the way, then fight a bad guy. Each level the bad guy gets badder, but the game is still basically the same. This is why video games have endings. After so many levels of everything being the same it gets so repetitive no one would keep playing. This is all the same. Another safe place, more really really really (and I mean REALLY) ****** ****** decisions, more inconsistencies, then a big bad guy, then they kill him, then they get another bad guy. Ugh, part of me just wants to be done with it, but part of me wants to see it through just to see what crap they come up with to end it all.

Also, so now that Carl is dead, then Rick's whole flash-foward thing, on which they wasted a good 1/3 of the full season opener, is just what? A dream? ********? Just a steaming pile of ********?

Meh the whole show is that way now. No one cares about any of the characters anymore, they all are so much just a parody of who they used to be. Carl died? A few seasons ago, after we watched Carl kill his mom and stuff, if he died we would be upset, now? Meh, he's just the next one to go. No one cares anymore about any of the people. Who did that one douche bag of Negan's shoot in the truck sitting behind Maggie? Yeah, no one knows, no one cares. Crap.

Almost to the mid-season finale I guess. Tired of the romulans or garbage-pail kids or whatever and their stupid verbiage. It has been 3 years tops since this all went to hell, how the hell did they evolve a new language? Either way I actually liked the arc with Eugene because it actually feels like something a real person would do. Far better than people who are sworn to kill each other standing around in the open shooting the **** with nary a bullet fired except to kill a bunch of windows.

Oh and now, after barrage after barrage and hailstorm upon hailstorm of bullets, NOW that they had to shoot 50 or 60 zombies they are all of a sudden worried about ammo? I love when you count well over 100 shots from a 20 round clip, but as soon as they need a new plot point suddenly bullets are scarce. Ugh.

And am I the only one tired of the way Negan talks. Did he talk like this before all this? Did you walk into his oil-change place or whatever and get him sauntering over to you, speaking in some forced drawl while licking his face 50 times per sentence? No wonder he hungered for power. Act that like among real people and there is no way he had anything even remotely like respect from anyone.

Oh yeah and in one episode Negan is worried about having any ammo, the next they run through it like piss through a drunk. How did they get out of sanctuary? I will tell you how, Eugene built this machine called god's machine, or "douche ex machine". It also creates new saviors and new bullets. As well as gives them the exact whereabouts and travel routes and timing down to the very second of every disjointed group. Because of course it does.

Why is everyone saying Carl is dead? I wish they would kill him off, his character sucks but they will find a way to keep him alive.

He was shot by Simon, not Negan. But yes, nobody cares.

That is what I said "that one douche bag OF negan's" was the one who shot him. Simon I guess it was then. I cannot/will not keep their names straight since they are just plot fodder.

Well, he got bit by a walker on the abdomen. Nobody comes back alive from it. He knew he is already dying, that's why he offered himself as sacrifice to Negan.

because he got bit in his stomach, a few episodes ago! cvant cut of his stomach.

unless they jumpt the shark or dive under a dumpster. carl is dead.

i dont think they will break the rule:BITE = death, unless quickly cut off bodypart

They would have killed him off at that point then and not drawn it out. Oh, wait TWD drags everything and nothing makes sense. They easily could just cut a section of his ab out and call it good, burn it badly or some other magic stupid cure they pull out their ***. Maybe Carl is the key to the cure. Who knows but I am guessing they dont kill him off, but hoping they do. Although I pretty much want most the characters killed off.

they needed an ooh my god moment in the last seconds of the midseason finale, a suprise moment. to make you go like ooh my gawds

His character does suck. Im so sick of looking at that stuoid coeboy hat that falls iff his head and no matter the circumstances he will grab it and put it back on. The hair and eye patch are stupid too. Didnt bother me at all that he died.

I used to think Rick was pretty cool too. Now he is just a poor leader who cant stop making bad decisions.

I mean, this is how everything that has a story works. Every good story is suppose to have an ending, which is why a story like TWD struggles. Pretty clear they don't want to end it, so the story has no purpose or direction beyond the short-term goals of the characters. It's just keep the series running as long it's profitable.

Just look back at how TWD started. The first season was great, and it's easy to tell why. They had Frank Darabont as the Showrunner. That guy directed The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption. AMC fired him because they wanted to cut the show's budget by 20% while making twice as many episodes per season.

Is there a character that doesn't suck? Or at least a character you think is mildly interesting?

Carol is pretty much the only one. Maybe Daryl, but that is only because he has a crossbow and rides a motorcycle and has nothing to do with the actual writing of the character.

There are articles out there about how Carl's real life dad was pissed off that the directors called him to say his son was being written off the show. AKA Carl is dead.

Well good riddance if that's the case. I hope they don't drag it out. Maybe it will turn Rick into an interesting character. Make him become the bad guy that he sort of is sometimes.

I really should stop watching, I haven't liked it in awhile but my curiosity gets the best of me.

My wife and I had the last two episodes to watch and she didn't get home until around midnight. It was past my bedtime already, but we decided to watch them (before I realized the final episode was 90min). I was falling asleep towards the end and when Carl showed his bite my wife had a bit of a reaction and I was just like "Oh, so Carl's going to die then? Alright, goodnight dear."

I have no emotional attachment to any of the characters anymore.

I think Rick going to the trash people on his own and Daryl ramming the truck on a whim was absolutely it for me as far as giving this show any credit at all for having anything interesting to consider. It used to pose real questions about how you could survive in that type of post-apocalyptic world, questions of good vs evil and how far it's okay to go to survive. That's all gone now. It is just a dumb zombie movie with no need to make sense, no need to ask difficult moral questions, no need for internal consistency.

I have given up on a few shows that my wife wants us to keep watching together. I'll finish this season out, but I doubt I'll come back for next season.

I've actually stopped watching, but I still read the episode overviews. My passion to hate on it still lives.
