Why so high on Hill when Mitchell can easily be deployed at the point???? Many hate to admit, but what we need is scoring at the forward spot, filling the gap left by Hayward. Ingles is a role player on a winning team at his best. He's clearly been asked to do too much since Hayward left. And the way Joe Johnson has been playing this season certainly doesn't help.
Rubio is an uptempo crafty pass first pg, notice he no longer has those highlite reel passes ? He can't because it's not in our offensive structure , Favors would get hit in the head and would get another concussion with Rubio's passes lol.
WTF? I just asked when was the last time DL spoke glowingly about GH? DL was a huge fan of Hill; that's why he traded for him. But that was before negotiations and before Hill sat out the GS series.Oh **** your macho ********. Tell us more about your expertise in journalism.

Pretty sure there was a Jazz beat writer who wrote what I voiced - that Utah wouldn't consider a Hill return. Maybe I'll search the archived to find, probably I won't. Because my memory is sufficiemt to remember there were those who raised eyebrows over Hill sitting out the GS series. And obviously, Hill wasn't willing to compromise on a contract.
And my journalism experience is the same as yours. I can reasonably string together sentences which qualifies me to post my opinion on a fan board.
I included the article in a link in an earlier post. In May he said he was his pride and joy and that they would likely be each other's best options in FA. That was before Gordon tricked us into the Rubio trade. I think we were/are more open to Hill returning than people think. If we never made the Rubio trade and Hayward left I could see us offering the exact contract he signed (or close to it).
And for the record...i think Hill would be a much better fit than Rubio. I just dont think that's something that would ever happen.
I heard something about a lot of Phoenix fans wanting Rubio. Obviously fans aren't GMs, but it'd be interesting to know if them wanting another PG and thinking his style of play could be helpful could have some legs to it. If so, it'd be easy to get involved in a three-way if Sacramento is simply looking to dump salary as they could take on Monroe's expiring deal.Unfortunately I agree - I think the real world chances of The Jazz finding a team to take Rubio and working out a deal with Sac to take on Hill are slim at best.
But the one thing most folks would agree on is Rubio is a bad fit and should not be on the team past this season - at the latest.

You need to save the trade and then link that, otherwise it's just a link to the trade machine.I don't think Phoenix would do it and I was the one posting that some Suns fans were cool with that deal. I do think you could do some sort of variation like this...

Sacramento gets off of $9M... they would buyout JJ and he could join a contender. Phoenix may pony up a second in this scenario as they have a ton.
If we could get Phoenix to go straight Rubio for Monroe I'd do that and then try and do AB plus something for Hill... if we wanted him.

Hill is barely more cost than Rubio, but that’s kind of like saying would you rather pay $15 for Nacho Bell Grande or $20 for shrimp primavera?Hill is too old and too expensive. Way outside of our timeline, which should focus on players between the ages of 22 and 27. Unfortunately, it probably means that Thabo and Udoh aren’t long for their Jazz careers.
