What's new

Mehmet Okur to the Pistons?

He is a decent shooter but extremely explosive. He would be a good addition. As for the Cavs and the Detroit trade. Detroit denied the rumors and say they wont trade for nothing in return.

From Midrange? Because he is a terrible 3pt shooter.

Not no, but hell no. Gordon has FOUR years on his deal. Okur only has two left. I would rather eat Okur's two year contract and never have him play another game, than I would have Gordon have 4 sub-par years of 10 million dollar chucking.

Last year is over Rex, Gordon has 3 years on his deal, Okur has 1

This isn't about Stuckey, Gordon, etc....this is all about getting rid of Rip and his bloated contract.

Hamilton led a player revolt last year against their coach - he gotta go even if they get a new coach.

Memo for Hamilton and #8 is a deal I would do, the Jazz could either buyout Hamilton or use him as a shooting guard, then they could trade the #8 and #12 for the #5, and they draft Kanter at #3 and Knight at #5.

I'll have it be known that Memo actually has 1 year left with an up to 7 year GM Option for a "TBD" amount of cash which can range from 400k up to 20 mil.

Yeah, you can do sign and trades when they become free agents on July 1. However, the current CBA ends June 30. There won't be any free agent signings this off season until the new CBA is worked out. That also means this trade can't happen until the new CBA is worked out (which many are estimating could eat half the season).

Which is exactly what billy shelby meant when he said: AKA-this trade will never happen until the looming lockout is over.

Yes, but theoretically an S&T can still transpire under the old CBA. So everyone else is right. But without a CBA, there is not going to be any S&T's. So nobody is going to acquire Prince by way of S&T before the draft unless he miraculously agrees to a low rent contract.

He has a good mid range shot. He can definitely develop a three pointer too. I would be willing to take the Rip Hamilton baggage if we get Stuckey and the 8th Pick and send them Bell and Memo.

Kids a beast..

I love how people post youtube videos of one guy's dominance over a (at the time) pretty lackluster team. I could tell it was all bull when his first points were met with absolutely no defense. He literally strolled to the hoop.

Okur for Hamilton and the #8 - I would go for that. If Pistons would take Raja Bell too, I would do that in a heartbeat. In limited games and minutes, Rip still averaged 14 points and 38% from 3. With the #8, Utah could get Jonas Valanciunas, Alec Burks, or Kemba Walker.
