What's new

Let’s talk about fours

Doesn't that mean a double sign and trade for Favors would still work?

Could, but you need two teams to agree on a trade and agents and players to agree on contracts and you have some hard constraints to work with. Didn’t say it was not possible... but it is really difficult

The Jazz liked Bolomboy a lot and thought he had potential, but after acquiring veteran big men Epke Udoh and Jonas Jerebko in the summer, they didn’t see him getting much opportunity this season. General manager Dennis Lindsey called it a “hard day” when the Jazz let Bolomboy go.

“It was a difficult thing for us with Joel,” said coach Quin Snyder. “It was a fit issue, it really had nothing to do with Joel, it was more about our roster. So it was hard to see a guy that you’ve seen invest so much and especially our staff and our organization invest in him.”

Snyder said he’s happy Bolomboy seems to have found a home this season.

“It’s a positive thing,” he said. “You want players to benefit from their time here and we’ve seen it with other guys too. So you’re happy for them. You want to see a guy that’s been a part of your program have success, no matter where it is. It’s not surprising, and I’m happy to see that happening for Joel.”

Aaron's shooting is very hot and cold though and he's gonna be extremely expensive.

Still would love to have him though, just not sure at what price.
He is so young and think his streakiness will improve. Plus our staff is >>>> magic staff at developing players.

Keep an eye on Jerami Grant in OKC. He could be a casualty of Melo opting in and PG13 looking for a deal.

He’d actually be a good Favs replacement and could play some backup 5 too.

I’d be good with him if Favs bolts but I’d want him off the bench.

Outside of clearing space for Paul George, the Jazz should definitely keep Favors.

Anybody on the open market is going to be a downgrade as a full time starter. They should focus on getting him back at a reasonable deal, and then adding a young guy (like Hezonja) to come in and compete for minutes.
