2018-2019 Western Conference Predictions

We need to have some sort of comparison function where you can tell whose list is most similar or most different compared to yours.

@silesian - I assume you must put these in some sort of spreadsheet. When you've got that done, if you can send me a copy I'll see about writing some analysis code. I don't think it should be too hard (famous last words), and like I said, it might be interesting. I'd generate a similarity score for each pair of people and then report those in a table or something.

I can't believe someone who knows Jim Les is can be so dumb or is it that you have LeBron and that's why? If you don't think LeBron is making playoffs you need to never comment on bball again. By all means watch it, but don't disrespect it

Same rules as last year.....

1. Post your prediction.

2.All predictions are frozen at first regular season game tip-off. Any changes are okay before then.

3. Your score is based on the net difference between your prediction and standings. For example, if you pick the Spurs to be first and they are in fourth, you receive 3 points for the Spurs. Low score wins.

4. Ranking is based on win% only.

5. Tied teams each receive an averaged score. For example, two teams tied for 5th/6th place are each scored as 5.5. Three teams tied for 10/11/12 are each scored as 11.

6. I'll post standings periodically through the season.

Getting the ball rolling, I'm pretty sure I will either be last place or first place with quite a few contrarian views.

You need never comment like you know bball ever again . Your just a fan boy. You have Utah one and Lakers 11th? Talk all the bball you would like but don't act like you know the game. Your an idiot and your rankings show it. Just like you have had Exum as Jordan and you hyped him up and you showed your nothing but a fan of the team.not a fan of the game because of you was you wouldn't be disrespecting the game like you do,all the time. Your the biggest clown here. You should be proud.

Last time I checked basketball is played by 5 players. And some of them need to play defense. Who is playing defense on Lakers? LeBron used to coast in Eastern conference and even in playoffs he would not play defense anymore, not a chance to do that in the West. He will either get burned out or injured or will be sitting tons of games at the end of the season when Lakers will be out of playoffs already. Just be honest, Lakers is a mess and LeBron alone is not enough to push them into playoffs in the West.

My revised standings.

1. GSW
2. Utah
3. Houston
4. OKC
5. New Orleans
6. Denver
7. Memphis
8. Los Angeles Lakers
9. Minnesota
10.San Antonio
11. Portland
12. Dallas
13. Los Angeles
14. Phoenix
15. Sacramento.

Portland runs great sets. Their guards and Nurkic will benefit from the freedom movement rules and a faster pace. That's why I am picking them no. 2. Also, Houston will be hurt by the new rules, i.e. their switching defense will be hurt.

I will literally tell @Archie Moses that I like his Hurley t-shirts if Denver misses the playoffs. Not gonna happen. (Health permitting, of course).
