Big double finger to Utah FO. ****. YOU.
I mean, my point is... things that appear obvious from some angle end up being not so. Why are we so confident about what we will or won't do in the future? We can look back on things now in hindsight and rationalize why things don't go to possible plan. Is that not a possibility in the future, that things don't go to plan and we sit back saying "well, yeah, it didn't, but here's why..."Yeah, I thought it would happen. Clearly I was wrong and underestimated Memphis's patience.
I assumed the Jazz had higher values placed on a guy like Porter, but they either didn't or didn't have the pieces that team wanted in return.
I also assumed the Jazz didn't have free agency confidence, but I guess they do. That's good to see.
Wie bitte?[QUOTE = "Spinoza, post: 1717047, miembro: 2422"] De hecho, creo que estaré de pie es lo correcto. I don't know how. [/ CITA]

You completely miss the point. We don't want the jazz to be different from everyone else, we want them to be different than they themselves have been for years and years and actually ****ing do something. On the flip side here are my contrarian thoughts, many people here are always wanting the Jazz to try and be different, well today they were. They were one of four teams in the entire NBA that didn't make a trade which included the Spurs. Which leads to my next thought, many people are wondering why the Jazz can't be more like the Spurs well today they were.
That is all carry on.

You should be happy he protected your favorite glassman from being traded to Memphis for Conley.Entering full savage mode. **** you Dennis and **** you Rubio you floppy haired muppet!
We had. Yet we value Exum (If they have free agency confidence why did we have a good offer on the table for Conley?
People like @LoPo should be stoked. He's always talking about how he wants big risky moves. The Jazz playing free agency is that.
Might the Jazz fail? Sure, but that's part of the risk you ask for.
Because it's a risk vs reward proposition. The Jazz thought the price they offered was low enough to offset the risk of FA, but any higher the risk of FA is the better bet.If they have free agency confidence why did we have a good offer on the table for Conley?
When DL fails to improve the team in a given year I'll complain. He made the Korver deal this year. I know that's not the huge deal we want, but its something.
And again, your boy Mitotic is even more signable now. You should be relatively optimistic.

Favors will be renounced ONLY if we need the capspace to sign someone better.Jazz are going to renounce Rubio, I'm pretty positive unless we win a championship.
Favors will be renounced as well if he isn't used in a trade (he has a late guarantee date for that reason).
There is 0 reason to not be optimistic for this off-season.

I'm trying to understand the residual saltiness here. Lindsey has made trades and acquisitions nearly every deadline and off-season since joining the Jazz, which typically has been good for the team. Most of the deals this deadline, if not all of them, don't directly impact the Jazz's standing or remaining schedule much. Sacto made some nice moves, but the Clipps and Grizz are bowing out. Simply put, it didn't actually CHANGE anything in the Western Conf itself.
Lindsey didn't overpay for a almost-allstar PG on the decline who's contract would albatross the organization for a few years. Is Conely good? Yes. Would he have made the Jazz better on the right deal? Probably, yeah. Is Memphis smoking drugs? Absolutely. Frankly, I think Exum was an overpay as far as his contract, but it wasn't bad comparatively and he could still grow. But I get the feeling Memphis wanted Exum, two 1sts, and Rubio. Frankly, that's too much for Conely.
Beyond that, most of the players previously linked to the Jazz went for deals that might just be rentals, but that doesn't pan out a lot of times and Utah will have a chance to sign one or a few of them outright without giving up picks or losing rotation players in the organization's long term plans.
Utah needs to make some plays this off-season, that's a given. But you don't trade simply for the sake of making one. I wanted Utah to make some sort of deal, but that doesn't happen sometimes. Stuff happens. Settle down folks, damn.
