What's new

Non jazz 2019 playoff discussion.

Holy s*** I can't believe the Clippers actually won. I turned the game off in the 3rd when they were down by like 30.

This is why id rather face gsw than houston.

I think jazz make a series out of everyone. Houston wins vs gsw this season.

Sooooo

Could someone help me out with the history here? Why the hell haven’t we gotten some of these guys?

Gallinari is a player who you’d think we’d want. A stretch 4. I can’t imagine He’s paid that much considering his age and injury history. Is he?

Lou Williams is the type of guy we need right now to run our second unit. How much is he paid? Wasn’t he off the Lakers junk heap from Kobe’s last hurrah?

And how the hell hasn’t Beverley become a Jazz already? He and Manimal are arguably my favorite players in the league. Both are so pesky and neither would command big contracts, I think.

I understand that we aren’t going to attract lebron James to our franchise. But it appears to me like we’ve also wiffed a bit when signing quality free agents. These guys all would’ve strengthened our bench and probably come at a much cheaper price than Exum. I can’t imagine any of these guys are earning much. But I could be wrong.

Loving the general upset nature of the playoffs right now. Only 3 series haven’t had an upset win. Time for the Jazz to join that group

Walk into Vivint. Head upstairs to the FO and ask them. I'm sure they would love your insight because I'm sure that they just sit on their thumbs all day reading Twitter trying to figure out what the hell to do.

I mean, I'm sure they aren't actually qualified to do their job. The only way they got their job was from some nepotism and luck, right?

Criticizing DLs inability to do anything in free agency isn’t really that crazy. It’s a valid concern at this point.

Is there room for discussion, or when the FO moves has the thinking been done? If Donovan misses a shot, was that the best possible shot given by the universe? If Quin draws up a play for a Jae three, is that because it was determined before the world was that it was the best shot possible? If the nachos at the arena are cold and don't taste good, is that because Steve Starks went deep within the heart of Vivint and peered into a crystal ball where the universe revealed the absolute truths about nacho cheese temperature?

****. I could have saved a lot of time posting on this forum had I known this.

Wasn't gallo plan b until hayward drug things out so we couldn't sign anybody?

Manimal has no 3pt. The others seem like good fits. No idea if we pursued them. It would be interesting to see where they rank on the FO rating system.

That was me as well. Noted that there is new episode of "Naked and Afraid" recorded and it was it for basketball.

Was he? I don’t remember but that does sound familiar.

There are plenty of decent players out there who aren’t top FA targets that we could nab. Right now Beverley and Gallo rather than whatever crap we have at PG and backup PF/SF would make us significantly better. How much are Niang and Thabo costing us?

So it was confirmed, Cousins out indefinitely with torn quad. That is two major injuries in 2 years on the same leg. Doubt he will ever be the same.

Probably not. He might even play winning ball now.
