Neither Favors or Gobert can create offense in the post. Yes, they both can finish, but we can't just feed them, let them go to work and expect them to score.
Houston is Utah, but just better:
Harden and Mitchell - both are asked to do the lion's share of shot creation, facilitation and shot making. Harden is a MVP candidate whereas Mitchell is still raw.
Paul and Rubio - they are asked to be the secondary facilitator and hit shots when open. Paul is simply better all around than Rubio.
Gordon and Ingles - both asked to defend, hit open shots and make the occasional play. Gordon can create his own shot better and his defense has been great so far.
Tucker and Favors - they are there for the dirty work and hit the shots when open. Tucker can hit the 3 and Favors cannot. Tucker's ability to hit the 3 spreads so much and he can defend any position.
Capella and Gobert - protect the rim and finish point blank chances. The success of these guys depends on the successes of their 4 teammates. If those guys play well, Capella and Gobert get more room to work.
Overall, they play offense like we wish we could play and switch on D like we wish we could. Outside of Gobert and Capella, they have a substantially better player at all 4 positions.
