Woj bomb... AD to Lakers

So, the guy goes back to Cleveland and gets the nickname "LeGM". It may or may not be true that he ran the show there, fine, rumors are rumors. Then he signs with the Lakers and there are rumors about tampering with Davis and the Pelicans,... weird... then everyone on the team quits on him... weird... they all get traded for AD.

Rumors are rumors, sure. But if it acts like a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck...

Yeah

Does the guy have say in how to make the team work around him? Absolutely. So did Mike, so did many others in the history of the game. And the results are there. He did more with average Cleveland teams than other guys did with more talent. He had power in Cleveland, and you know what, they went to the Finals 4 straight times. His influence is a bad thing? Hell, Kyrie just apologized to LeBron for not respecting how hard a job LeBron had in building that Cleveland team. He apologized because he realized how hard it was as his Boston team underachieved under his leadership.

Last season for the Lakers was just a fiasco. A train wreck. To hang that on LeBron is dumb. The NBA is a business. When LA showed interest in AD, the kids didn't maintain professionalism. They lost focus. They got their feelings hurt while LeBron was actually hurt. It's a business.

If you worked at a job where the guy you worked with called the shots it would get frustrating. I dont blame the younger Lakers players AT ALL for quitting on the team ESPECIALLY when the player calling the shots wants you traded while he is in a suit sitting on a injury that he took his time getting back from.

Clutch Sports orchestrated this whole thing on behalf of Lebron and AD.

If Davis doesn't waive his trade kicker, the Lakers are starting with $23M. So far, reports are that Davis isn't waiving his trade kicker.
Demand you get traded to a specific location. Then, when they’ve accommodated your requests, demand you collect a bonus on being traded. Awesome.

Yeah... lebron had nothing to do with it...

I never said that. I think LeBron made it very known to the Lakers front office that he wanted them to get AD. Just like he made it very clear to the Cavs front office that he would rather play with Kevin Love than unproven Andrew Wiggins. Seems like that worked out well for the Cavs just like AD will work out well for the Lakers.

So much of the LeBron stuff is overblown. Prior to this season, the only issue was Kyrie yet Kyrie was the issue.

Are you kidding me?

And that's just off the top of my head. Like I said, every year since about 2007, rumours have been swirling around LeBron and him wanting better teammates, different coaches, etc.

Sure, you could blame the 24/7 media cycle, but rumours aren't swirling around anyone else like that. Have you heard any rumours that any Warriors stars wanted Kerr gone? Even when Walton had them 39-4 to start that 2015-16 seasons, were there stories about how Steph wanted Walton to stay or anything like that?

Have there been stories this year about Giannis wanting a more "player-friendly" coach? Was there drama at the deadline about players being shipped out of Milwaukee to get more help?

How come all this stuff somehow follows LeBron?

Giannis and Durrant have passes LBJ. Lebron is still a top 5 talent in the game, but father time is undefeated. He's not getting any better

You should look at his stats year by year. He actually has been getting better as he is getting older

Because he's a narcissistic drama queen. Can't argue his results though.

How's this for body language?

Who the **** is talking about Michael Jordan and things that happened 25 years ago? I am talking about right now. I am talking about this decade. LeBron James creates more drama than any other superstar in the league. Does he create more or less drama than MJ? I don't know and I don't care. MJ retired 21 years ago.

Because it's stupid to question a player who went to 8 straight finals. The media, and you as it seems, want to bash LeBron for things that other people aren't even questioned about.

What's the difference between 2010 or 21 years ago? Both players won titles with those coaches and those teammates. Quit crying about LeBron. The highest profile athletes pull strings. It's part of sports.
