If he wants to build on his legacy he will stay in Toronto. Going to LA to join Lebron ruins that. He seems like someone who is old school mentality. Would rather beat them more than joining them. But I guess we will see.

Probably tomorrow. Today is Canada Day , a national holiday in Toronto and the rest of the country
So he isn't really "dragging it out" as much as he's waiting to meet with everyone first.

Clips just used a little more of their space... they still have enough to sign him, but its not a great sign imo. I think Kawhi becomes a Laker... but maybe it's just Clips waiting for next year and he heads back to Toronto on a 1+1 deal.
I think he wants to go to one of the LA teams, but he has serious questions about the Lakers, and he's waiting for the Clippers to make a move to improve their roster.
Kawhi has the personality of a person seeking love and respect. He asked to be traded out of S.A. because he no longer felt respected by the organization. Where is he respected right now? Toronto. National hero. I think he's dragging the decision because when he does announce he is staying in Toronto he's going to be even more of a beloved character for doing what all of these other stars haven't done... stay put.
There's no reason to delay the process if he wants to return to Toronto. Also, there's really nothing the Lakers can do right now to improve their pitch.

I’d love for him to stay in Toronto. I want him to stay in the east for us and stay in Toronto for the good of the league. They finally got a championship and if he leaves they’re headed to the lottery and the Sixers will waltz to the finals.

Personally, I think it’s ******** that he’s leaving everyone hanging like this. It’s funny to see the Lakers sweating bullets and it would be hilarious if he leaves them up a river without a paddle. But at the same time, it sucks for these teams. Waiting on Kawhi to decide was us a few years ago with Hayward.
It’s a pretty crappy move if you’re a superstar. I get it if you’re Raul Neto or Alex Caruso, players who might get lost in the shuffle of free agency. But if you’re a superstar then you've already thought about this and already have an idea of what the teams are offering you. Cmon, hurry and make your decision.
This could easily be us in a few years with Mitchell.
