Personally for me I call it a B because of the fall out that could happen after this season. Conley could leave after one year. And we are back to square one. I still think we gave up a tad bit too much for him. We also need a PF on the vet min.

But it's a B graded on a curve. haha. It could change after I see how well the new team plays. But I feel I have to be a realist. Getting Durant or something that big would be an A. It was a solid off season IMO. Just not worth an A... YET

Does he want to come? Because he willingly left the NBA years ago.

I read an article from a year ago that said he wanted to return to the NBA last season. But he didn’t. Not sure how long his contract is for or his feelings now.

Anyways. I need to change my vote. Do a new poll.

This poll came prematurely.

Ha! You don't even like your own takes. Just like last year with korver.

Oh well.

Like everyone in life, when you agree with me, then I'll like you.

LOL at people calling this offseason a B or lower. What the heck else do you want from the jazz? Lol This is definitely an A++ offseason

A, as there's no A++ option.

At the very very least they are being aggressive, something I've never seen here. But smartly aggressive.

I hope Kawai goes to the Lakers and we sweep them in the playoffs.

Imagine trading Favors and getting 2 2nd round picks, Bojan, Jeff Green, and Ed Davis. Yeesh

Jist looking at Conley trade only. I'd probably only give a C.

But Conley+Bojan?

Then + Ed Davis + Jeff Green + Mudiay?

Anything less than an A would've been an absolute insult to FO's effort.

C-

Jazz gave up a lot for potentially only one year of Conley. I think the risk he opts out and the Jazz are forced to either a) lose him or b) sign him to a big 4-year deal is understated. If you assume AD stays in LA, Conley & Draymond look to be the best potential UFAs in the 2020 class. If he has a good year, there's very little reason for Conley not to opt out and trade some 2020-21 salary for much more $$ long-term.

The advanced metrics don't like Bojan. The BBIndex guy had the Jazz w/52 wins w/Favors and 48 w/Bojan. I get the idea that you can find 80% of Favors (Davis) more cheaply than you find a high quality stretch 4, and I understand there are fit issues w/Derrick next to Gobert. Still, I think the contract is poor value, and it's hard for me to picture a frontcourt with the athleticism of Bojan/Ingles advancing super deep into the playoffs.

I think Green and especially Davis were good pickups. I guess there's something to be said for mixing things up and taking a shot, but I suspect the Jazz will bow out in Round 2. They haven't done anything franchise crippling, but they've sacrificed some long-term assets and flexibility and not greatly enhanced their chances of winning the West, imo.

Hope I'm wrong.
