Best shows on TV?

I didn't interpret is as an indictment of Republicans specifically as much as just America as a whole. I agree though, that the show was much better than I thought it would be.
I've seen a lot of subtle political messages. Everything from Fox News, to regret is not rape tweets to the Jesus freaks at the ralley and how Starlight is made to be the voice of reason (which she obviously is.)

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind it and I think it makes for a great show and even more interesting to watch.

Oh yeah there was definitely a pot shot or two at Fox News and religious conservatism. Just as there was against consumerism, the military industrial complex and the commodification of the metoo movement. It definitely has a political message to send.

I'm kinda super hero'd out, but I got to say, I'm enjoying The Boys on Amazon Prime. Didn't know Dennis Quaid had a son who acts.
I'm only 2 episodes in. I'm a HUGE fan of the original comic, and this is enough like it to satisfy the fanboi in me, while being different enough to keep me interested.

That being said, I wish they had Terror in it.

I just binge watched Good Omens. It was different and funny with offbeat humor and silliness. I enjoyed it, but it's only 6 episodes.
The book is better. Much better. The show... I wanted to love it. I really did. But it left out some of my favorite parts of the book without replacing them with anything better. I think Neil Gaiman just wanted to make sure that all of Terry Pratchett's bits were in there, and sacrificed his own voice a bit too much.

It does contain a lot of harsh language, if that's a problem for you. And possibly some nudity. And certainly sexual content. And massive violence.

Thanks for the warning, I'll have to make sure my kiddos are asleep for the night before trying it out.

Never read the book so have nothing to compare it to. Probably why I was able to enjoy it easier. I really like the offbeat humor stuff more than the slapstick comedy ala big bang or something of that ilk.
