The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

How much you wanna bet he’s canceling his post conference because he saw your video?

oh, for sure he’s seen the video now. This is utterly hilarious!

Expect a lot of angry tweets in the next 24 hrs. And expect Fox N Friends to be extra congratulatory of Dear Leader to fluff his ego. Maybe they’ll even suggest he pardon another war criminal or offer Judge P as a sacrifice to lighten the mood?

I love this on so many levels:

1. Hannity pretending not to know who Parnas is.
2. Nunes pretending to not recall if he has ever spoken to Parnas. Especially since it is publicly known that not only did Parnas fall Nunes several times, but that Nunes called Parnas several times speaking with him for 10+ mins.

But... you know, judges, tax cuts, and owninthelibs is more important!

This is what really bugs me when people claim that Democrats have failed at “moving the needle.” Yeah, I get the criticism about their messaging and being more forceful with subpoenas. But when facing unprecedented obstruction of justice by this administration, it’s amazing that we know as much about this as we do. Credit to schiff who ran the hearings and those patriots who testified.

If the trump administration really is so innocent, why are they doing so much stonewalling? If trump really is so concerned with corruption, why isn’t he terminating people like Mulvaney, Sondland, and Guiliani for “going rogue?” Either he knew about their corrupt acts regarding Ukraine and needs to be impeached or complicit with their acts, which again warrants impeachment. The buck stops... Somewhere, right?

At some point I think we need to stop blaming Democrats for the (lack of) impeachment support among Republicans. Maybe it requires looking in the mirror? What does this say about our society if we fail to hold trump and his party accountable?

That's a nice police force you got there, it'd be a shame if something happened to it.

This is a horrifying thing for our AG to say

Anyone notice that the very last guy didn't say anything about evidence, or questioning it, merely "Do we impeach for that"?

Wish I could see the tweets, but my school district computer won't allow it. I heard one pundit describe the polarization along party lines as the worst since the civil war, which I think is fairly accurate. It's really disappointing all of the moral rationalizing that's taking place on the republican front. The party that represented traditional values and once had such a strong idealogical backbone has really lost it's bearings IMO. I was leaning towards Cultural Relativism at first as a way to understand it, but now realize that it is much more insidious than that. Ethical Egoism is the only theory that can explain it: "right and wrong is determined by what's in your self-interest". I understand now that Republicans care first and foremost about preserving the status quo (protection of wealth and influence) and what better way than with a despotic ruler that operates with impunity with no regard for the rule of law.

Why don’t politicians spend their time earning their money, trying to fix the d*** healthcare system for instance. Instead of getting in this piss fight about which side is more corrupt? Then we wonder why 100 million Americans stay at their home instead of voting.

When you feel like you’re above the law and a political party will defend you no matter what...

Want to take a guess on how he feels about Brown v Board of Education? Or Roe v Wade? Or how about Obergefell v Hodges? What do you think?

I wasn’t old enough to know much about Barr’s intervention with the Iran Contra Affair. I heard he was a conservative but more of a “responsible” conservative. Then, he wrote that OP-ED which got him his position in this administration, and it appeared that he was more of a guy who believed in the imperial executive. Now? I almost feel like his ideology isn’t so much conservative or republican as it is right wing nutjob. He appears to be hell bent on instituting Gileadian law (Handmaid’s Tale) than preserving conservativism or the GOP. He’s more of a cultural warrior than I think most of us ever imagined.
