The official FFS sign Udoh thread

When did he play? Garbage minutes lol. Was it the 5 minutes he averaged in April? The 3 in March? The garbage minutes he played in the Playoffs? The 9 times in 82 games he played over 10 minutes?

errrr... Yes I paid attention.
The year before he had 43 games of >10 minutes. He doesn’t do this against trash players. He does it against everyone. Chris Paul tried to switch on him three different times and was shut down. Nobody has made him look bad on defense. Yes, he didn’t play a ton, but to have as large a sample size as that without ever being embarrassed...

Meh... Sorry dudes. We're not going to sign him. We could argue this all day but the fact remains that nobody is really out there pushing to get him and there's a reason for that.

Now if I'm wrong I'd welcome him but I'm right so there's no need.

I’m curious who you think is going to play the 5 in the playoffs if you don’t believe Udoh nor Bradley would get minutes.

I was being a facetious. He'll play Bradley because he has to. To think that they are replacing Bradley with Udoh though is nonsense. They will not make a move that doesn't tilt the needle at all. Udoh doesn't. I'm truthfully sorry but he doesn't. He's not that good. Neither is Bradley.

Lol, he knew who it was. He just needed attention and to let me know he put me on ignore because he knows I would've never noticed.

A Conley-Clarkson-?-Niang-Udoh second unit would be pretty dope. So long as Clarkson started passing the ball.
He's averaging 14 pts, 2.3 Reb and 2.4 assts. Not terrible. And his role is being the primary scorer off the bench. His passing is fine.

it’s really not. He only passes the ball 17% of the time once he receives it. That’s worst by a mile on our team.

Clarkson looking pretty good tonight.

He's a ton better than Bradley on the defensive end. And that is what we need on the second unit, a rim protector. We don't have one. Did you see how many points they scored in the paint tonight?

The latter. Signing Ekpe requires DL to give up two pet projects: TB and NWG.

Also requires him to admit he made a mistake with giving Ed the deal rather than keeping Udoh.

I don't think this is how it worked. I believe, and have some reason to believe, that Ekpe knew he probably wouldn't get the playing time he wanted. The grass turned out not to be greener with Davis, and those minutes are now available. Sign Ekpe. TB becomes third big. Waive NWG.

He was playing behind Favors! Of course!

Lol for real? Ekpe is an incredibly good defender. And our bench has shooters now. And he knows Snyder's system. It's a great fit.
When you put all this together I think he's the guy that is available that could make the most positive impact.

Offense doesn't matter as much with the bench unit since we have gunners on the second unit... just need to be somewhat respectable (ed wasn't). On the defensive end he is a better rim protector than anyone out there and is really disruptive. People are being too dismissive of what he could do. Margins are very small (we've won two very close games) and guys that impact the game even if it is only for 10-12 minutes are going to be important.
