thets what Donald said in his speech... he said Europe has a travel ban but the UK is exempt. The White House officials have been changing and clarifying ever since. Thanks Donald for the speech. It left us more confused than ever.

I’m surprised that we’re focusing so much on travel bans. What about testing? PTO? SNAP and other financial help for people?
 
So the possible effects of this in the world: elderly people who are usually the most conservative are in danger, industrial production diminishes, many proffesions adapt to work from home - both things could have positive impact on climate, people learn to survive with basic things showing that we can drastically lower our consumption habits..

Wow... So nearly 50% of the population? Lol based on what numbers? Italy has around 12,000 people infected out of 60 million people(.02%) yet America is going to have half of it's population infected? Iran is also z
a ground zero with around 11,000 cases out of 81 million at .01%.

Edit: as far as world wide there have only been around 140,000 confirmed cases according to two trackers I just looked up but America alone will have 75-150 million?

Your best bet is to call the office of the attending physician of the U. S. Congress and the Supreme Court, and ask for clarification, from his office, or perhaps you'll be able to talk to him directly. The figures quoted were his figures.

I do believe the mortality rate of 3%, used in the tweet, is probably too high, as Dr. Fauci suggested accurate counting would likely show a mortality rate of 1%, tops. That would still be a lot of American deaths.

It may also be factoring in the probability that the virus returns next season, should it subside in the warm season, but that's just a guess on my part, not sure if the attending physician included that as a factor. One reason why our figures may ultimately be on such a high end is if we do not do a good job, in the long run, of tracking this. We are still far behind everyone where testing is concerned. Dr. Fauci did say, after all, that if we do not respond to the degree required, we could expect millions of American deaths. And again, if that bothers you, contact Dr. Fauci's Office for clarification on the figure of "millions".

It doesn't bother me, it's just absolutely stupid and 100% unfounded. Not surprised people don't even question such terrible numbers. You dudes believe anything. You're literally saying half of the he country will get sick when no other country has even close to 1%

BTW, in case I confused you, Dr. Fauci and the attending physician to Congress are two different doctors. If you need clarification on any of the figures they suggested, they will be better equipped to answer you. I'm as much in the dark as anyone else, for the most part.
