My Quarantine

Lol so true on that last sentence. Most all of my weight loss has been due to diet as well. Dont even need to exercise at all really. Just eat good and dont eat very much. I honestly think the key to whole thing for me has been my smoothies that i eat each day.
Reason we started dieting and exercising was so we would look good on the beach in bathing suits on our cruise......... now the cruise is all but dead. :(

One mental tricl I used to lose weight in the first place was to think "Ok, if i eat almost nothing today I will be able to get drunk so quickly and easily tonight." So I'd eat no breakfast, a small lunch, small dinner and then a bit of some High West, get pretty buzzed go to sleep and repeat.

Another thing that really helped was my office was no where near any places to eat and they had no vending machines. So it was quite a hassle to get anything to eat during the day. Most of the weight loss was just due to sheer laziness.

Weight loss by laziness lol, oxymoron

I should shrink my belly again so I could see my pecker again. It's been a few. One of my blood pressure pills has a side effect of weight gain, though. Plus, I'm not exactly doing a whole lot to help that either. **** me.

Start rowing again, fatass!

I have officially been exposed. Someone I know and have had regular contact with was tested positive. My work is trying to decide whether I need to stay home or not. I'm not feeling anything.

How long ago did he get the test and the results? Why did he get the test? Did he have symptoms or did he come from a risky place?

Not quoting the post with photos, but are you not afraid that the eyes of your daughter will be not in a good shape in the future if she is watching tablets at that age.
My daughter is now 8 and we had quite a "fight" (verbal only) with my wife when she introduced smart phone games to her 2 years ago, because the market demanded it (i.e her friends at kindergarten played with phone at home). So a 6 month later we purchased an ipad to somewhat remedy that (ipad has bigger screen) and we try to limit the usage, currently it is about 3 hours per day unless the grandma is onsite - then it is 0 hours :)
When visiting my eye-doctor - she told me that using the smartphone at young age will somehow ruin the focusing system of eyes - i.e the imaginary eye sight lines from the eyes do not cross each other at the right distance when watching the screen of the smartphone.

He works directly in LA and lives in Orange county. He's an exec so he has traveled a lot. He tested positive on Friday apparently, let us know today. No idea the full level of exposure. Time will tell I guess.

Also he had some symptoms but he had recently had the flu, like the actual flu, but the symptoms had started to get worse for him again, turned into shortness of breath and a cough. He was deemed high risk so he was tested and was positive.

They determined he was in pretty early stages but his symptoms came on stronger because he had recently been sick and probably hadn't fully recovered.

I've been annoyed at work with a few people. One just coughs out in the open even sometimes in my direction. That's never cool COVID-19 or not. Other people are still trying to hand me their phone so I can see the funny thing they just saw on facebook. I don't want your ****ing germ sponge, thanks.

That's why the government shouldn't just "advice" to keep social distancing. Because there are too many morons out there who will never get it unless they are forced to do it.

China has reported today that the infection rate with someone not a family member is only 3%. So you have decent odds you're okay. Hopefully!

Didn't really wanna make my own thread so I'm gonna hijack this one.

I'm scheduled for my second clavicle surgery in 3 weeks at 2:30 today. I guess, this is the time to do it... again.

My first one went OK. It was late afternoon and the surgery was over just after 6. I'm a champ with anesthesia and I'm awake and coherent as soon as I open my eyes. I'm ready to go in five minutes, but they make you stay for an hour.

After my last surgery, the doctor left and forgot to write me any pain medication. The hospital told me to call his office in the morning. In other words, it took nearly 24 hours to get a damn pain pill and I went to work the next day (we had a huge convention in SLC right before all the lockdowns.)

The doc only wrote me 20 pain pills - the fives. He said to take one every 4 hours. I'm a big guy and know my pain level, I also have a high tolerance to pain pills - only use them when I have then prescribed to me and never had a problem abusing them fortunately. I had to take two every 4 hours to get barely any relief. Doctor's don't get this. They write the same script for 110 lbs people.

Anyway, pain after surgery was a bitch. I called for more pills when the 20 ran out and they said no (I broke my wrist too, btw.) They basically make you feel like a drug addict because, I'm sure, they have many patients who are.

The last three weeks have been rough in terms of pain. When I had the dressing removed last Wednesday I told his PA how bad it still hurt (didn't ask for more meds) and asked if my collarbone looked fine. He said everything looked great.

After going home, I saw my collarbone looked like it was popping out. I ended up calling on Friday and demanded an X-Ray. I got the X-Ray yesterday and the doc comes in and asks if I was in another accident or if I fell. I said no. He told me I popped the plate off the bone some how and he's never seen that before. He asked if I was in pain and I said, everyday has felt like the day after surgery.

He told me I needed " emergency" surgery today. They're gonna take out the old plate and put a new one in.

The ****ing doctors I get, man. Gawd damn it. Even the doc at the ER told me I didn't break my collarbone after they X-Rayed me (I shattered it.) I had to demand another X-Ray then too.

Don't even get me started on my back and hip doctors, gawd damn it.

Does anyone else have really bad experiences with doctors too?

This is my X-Ray from yesterday. I guarantee the plate popped during the first night home from surgery.

This is the break the ER doc and radiologist said I didn't break. Lol They told me I didn't break my wrist too. WTF
Btw, the ER doc sent me home with 8 pain pills on a Saturday afternoon. They were gone the next morning and the days leading up to surgery sucked.

I get the whole be cautious prescribing pain pills. I really do.

I don't when someone is in major ****ing pain. I shouldn't have to suffer because of pill poppers.

I can completely relate to the pain aspect of what you are going through, and I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I've been mostly lucky in that my doctor's don't really question my pain levels, but it is a bitch trying to get pain medication. My previous doctor treated me like an addict shopping for prescriptions right after he acknowledged I have surgery related arthritis and shifted plates in my neck that are causing me severe pain (7 to 8 on the 10 point pain scale, sometimes a 9, and I have a pretty high tolerance for pain since I've been living with it for so long, 20 years now). He kept side-eyeing me, asked another doctor to give me a pain assessment, reminded me it wasn't allowed to shop for prescriptions. I mean I get that part of it, especially in California, is to cover his own ***, but I felt like he was one step away from asking where I was getting the heroin or whatever. It was humiliating.

Luckily my current doctor gets it and is willing to prescribe what I need while I try to get the tests done I need. It is surprisingly hard to find a place that will do an MRI under full sedation, but I cannot do it any other way. My x-ray shows the plates have shifted, in addition to the arthritis, and that there is narrowing of the central channel in 3 vertebrae (where the spinal cord is), which is the most concerning.

So I feel for you bro. Hang in there. Sending all the positive feels your way.
