the notion that letting people die from disease is in our country’s best long term economic interest is both flawed and immoral.

Biden doesn't seem like a viable candidate anymore. He's been so infirm in his few media appearances this week, it just doesn't seem like he's going to be up to the task. In one of his fundraisers in Georgia he was reportedly telling donors that he would need to be replaced by his VP nominee early on. It's also possible that the DNC will nominate someone else at the convention when it's said and done. It's not that Biden has gaffes, per se. He has spells where he can barely talk.
 
Here's some cold water to throw on Dr Birx unrealistically optimistic statements at the press briefing today.

China just closed the country for incoming foreign nationals regardless of visa types. Only returning Chinese can enter. 90% of new foreign cov are actually brought by them ,the returning Chinese.
 
Trump, the narcissistic POS he is, sadly lives another day. Just have to hope he gets the virus and Big Macs aren’t the cure.

Is there anybody who is assuming China is being accurate? I think we all know they aren't.

Anyways, based on our population, it was a given the US was going to have the highest numbers. Pretty poor way for people to frame it, imo.

(I did not see the pandemic coming in election season 2016. But, I most definetly felt that, if elected, this is the type of amoral leader we would see emerge at some point. The very reason, on so many occasions, in so many words, I said : "you guys know this is a demagogue, right, right"?? I've been "accused" of being on a near 4 year "quest" to focus on this man child's many faults/flaws. Well, duh, ya think?):
