Not true. It is literally impossible to know where any set of actions other than the ones we actually take would lead, but it is not at all impossible to believe that if we would have instead used a fraction of the stimulus package money in order to fully quarantine the most vulnerable portions of our population, while simultaneously keeping the economy running, that we wouldn't have ultimately achieved a better outcome. Remember, corona is not the only thing that kills. Poverty is a killer too, and if we decide to cut the legs out from under our economy for an extended period of time we are going to experience a ton of that.
