Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

@fishonjazz

Paused the Killer Mike PC 2:30 in. Gonna watch the rest in a sec. Thank you for that. Unbelievable that a rapper can speak as intelligently and heartfelt than the ****ing President of the United States.

Watched the rest of that, @fishonjazz. Amazing.

I’m curious what you took issue with. The only two things I would but they’re not a remotely big deal to me given the circumstances, are his shirt and his use of the word “plot” repeatedly. I feel like there’s a naturally nefarious connotation to the word. Again, I’m being super nit picky about that **** though and in general would love to see this guy run for office rather than the clowns we have.

The shirt was an odd choice.

I don’t find it odd. I get it. Be unapologetic and be vigilant about burning the systematic racism to the ground. And that’s fine. Enough’s enough. I think though it’s maybe a poor choice given his overall message of going home and planning, etc. We live in a world with dummies and some would infer he wants blacks to go around killing racist whites or white cops. Others might see it and take that from the video without thinking about his actual words which is what matters.

Can’t help but feel this encapsulates a lot of people’s feelings. “We’re progressive AF and continue to burn it all down as long as it’s not my neighborhood and it’s confined to the actual minority communities.”

It’s a very generous offering of vicarious sacrifice.

Look, man. I get there has to be a messaged sent. But I'm not going to be convinced that rioting, looting and burning **** down is the answer. Every issue can be as simplistic as being a good human being and not a piece of ****. Burning random people's businesses to the ground and looting them isn't the answer not will it ever be the answer. If that makes me a 13-year-old then ok, dude. I really don't care.

I mean I guess the cops/military could go around tell people if you listen to music then we are going to start shooting.
If you drive your car then we will start shooting.
If you say things we don't like then we start shooting.
If you go to church then we start shooting.

And it would be best to not get shot so it would be best to not do those things if told not to. But see that's how you lose freedoms. By just doing what your told when what your told to do isn't right. The problem isn't the people not listening to the orders. The problem is the orders themselves. No one should be told not to be on their porch. And if we are ever being told not to be on our porches then we should resist.

I'm not arguing any of that. I'm just talking about this specific situation. I would have just gone inside. That's a battle no one is going to win. Lol

While I thought the delivery could have been less charged, he made some good points. But calling others names while calling for a better way is a bit counterproductive.

That's just Andrew Schultz being Andrew Schultz. He's a comedian and his act is to make fun of people and it's hilarious. The dude normally just improves and makes fun of people in the audience and it's hilarious. If it were anyone else, I'd agree name calling isn't the way to go but he's a comedian who's using what he's good at to get a strong point across.

YouTube Andrew Schultz and thank me later. Haha :)

This.

What a sad world we live in that there are people like Trevor ****ing Noah that encourages looting.

People who loot are pieces of ****. They may think they're doing it in the name of justice but it's just an ignorant excuse to act like a piece of ****.

Stop encouraging and condoning this behavior. It's not helping nor is it justice.

I just want to bump this again.
The first time I watched it I literally had tears coming down my cheeks. I'm a emotional baby who cries watching sad movies or tv shows though so it's not that surprising (I get it from my mom.)

Today I showed this video to my wife. She never cries during movies and is much stronger than me emotionally. I had tears in my eyes again(of course) but noticed in my peripheral vision that my wife was wiping her face with hand and I looked at her and to my surprise she had tears running down her face too.

The speech wasn't perfect. He said some things I didn't like. But it wasn't about his words as much as HOW he said them. His tone of sincerity, vulnerability, and honestly shines through. I love that he said multiple times that he doesn't have the answers. That he is mad as hell. That he doesn't want to be there etc.

Just such a great speech. The fact that it wasn't perfect and he wasn't reading from something, it all came from the heart, was wonderful.

I would love to see more of the leading politicians speak in this manner. Even if I don't like what they are saying, at least I can respect their words anyway if they are being sincere and honest and trying their best to be understanding and compassionate. Be vulnerable. Admit that you don't have the answers and that you make mistakes. Be human for God's sake.

That guy is so well spoken. He speaks from the heart so powerfully you can't help but feel emotional.

Wish the world would be a better place.

Protestors set fire to occupied building with a child in it, then block fire truck from arriving on scene.

This isn’t the issue between us. But I’m glad you’re getting some exercise here.
