So you want to amend the Constitution, limit personal freedoms, give more power to a government that is already failing us, all to stop unjustified police shootings? Let's keep in mind that about 25-50 (depending on what data you read, which is out of about 1,000 total police related deaths) unarmed people are killed by the police every year.

To contract, about 100 people die every day in car accidents. What personal freedoms can we take away to limit unnecessary car deaths?

I think 'distracted' driving is the biggest cause of accidents, so things to limit that would be the big thing to target.

Of course soon automated cars will relieve us of our problem

I watched the Rodney King video (as much as I could before I had to turn it off) a few nights ago. It broke my heart and made feel depressed. Just think about all the other black people who have been beaten by the police for being black that's not captured on film.

Some people are just really ****ing terrible.

I forget but back in those days there weren't camera phones everywhere right? Or were there?

Who filmed that?/how was it filmed?

Big pharma and the alcohol companies stand to lose too much money.

Politicians (and our country in general) place more value on money/profits than they do on people.
