2020 Presidential election

Lol. I'm sure this moron has GWTW as his favorite movie. Probably has it on blu ray.

okay. Was there a question or a point to this post?

I mean yeah, they are a business trying to toe the line between PC'ness and $$$$. It's a tough line to walk for sure.

I mean is HBO going to put disclaimers on every movie with murder making sure everyone know's they don't condone it? It's just so ****ing stupid.

And so is this article below.

We have been in the grips of a national debate on the confederacy and the history of slavery for over a century now. That same debate really doesn't exist for murder, so they're not really the same thing, at all.

I've only seen gone with the wind once, and it was in a high school history class. If we take that as one extreme and the other being total censorship, I think a disclaimer should be perfectly acceptable to such a middle grounder as yourself.

The irony of course is that I'm pretty sure I'm a fair bit to your left politically lol.

But there are a lot of politically illiterate people around here and because you post a lot you get to be the "far left" poster lol.

What can I say? It’s a gift and a curse. LOL

And that’s something that I’ve found to be weird on this board. Those who enter the politics threads know what they’re getting into. Yet many are so politically illiterate that they don’t know what the he’ll they’re talking about. On one page Im labeled an “establishment” Democrat or “DINO.” On the next page I’m labeled a “Leftist.”

It’s pretty concerning to me that even after these four years of politics being shoved into our faces on tv and social media that the general population still doesn’t seem to be able to understand the differences between the different factions of the Democratic coalition. As if Bernie Sanders, AOC, Adam Schiff, Joe Manchin, Ben McAdams (my rep mormon and from utah), Joe Biden, and Amy Klobuchar are all the same thing.

You would think that politics being shoved into our lives everyday for 4 years whether we want it or not would’ve sharpened people’s discerning skills. Yet, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

This is super dumb. I'd be willing to bet you and Thriller agree on things more than you disagree. This just isn't one of them.

I completely agree with that. Like I said I'm not even kind of a republican. I vote dem like 80% of the time. I am just very very very against swinging things from 1 extreme to the other extreme. I feel like these riots, which generally speaking I am very in favor of, are turning into that. Seattle being a prime example.

is it me or is the pro trump "tired of winning" crowd getting quieter and quieter. You just know they are going to jump off the bandwagon so as to not get further associated with a loser.

Once upon a time, Lindsey Graham supported Joe Biden. Lol, what a difference Trump winning in 2016 made...

I’m totally anti trump so I like a lot of thrillers schtick. And he is usually arguing against the many mindless trump minions.

so along comes beer, who I often disagree with but understand many of the points he is making and is obviously a smart guy with some points he has thought about, and not just posting what he heard from tucker last night.

I think we need to engage with and listen to the Beers of the world and not dismiss them out of hand when we disagree. Doing so is close minded.

It’s hard to take someone serious that throws out personal insults on the regular. His efforts to demonize and insult those he disagrees with get in the way of his perspectives and arguments.
