Following Potential 2020 draftees

His shooting off the dribble is clean!! Decent PG prospect for sure. That being said, placing him anywhere other than the 50's of this draft is probably a big mistake.

Yeah he won't be crazy high on my board. I'm just digging deeper into some late second/udfa types. There's nothing else to do really because we have all this extra time before the draft and I've already done deep dives into the top names.

Madar kinda reminds me of Carlos Arroyo a little bit.

What are your guys thoughts on J'yoe Mama?

Idk how I feel. Shows pretty good feet to cut off any type of penetration. Body shape isn't very optimal. Gets hot from time to time especially in evening games. Kinda weird. Almost like Mama is cookin. Quite uncoachable once a month or so tho. Needs to work on that.

Here is who a Yahoo mock draft has the Jazz picking:
24. Utah Jazz
Vernon Carey, 6-10, Center, Duke

Even before the fallout between Jazz star Donovan Mitchell and center Rudy Gobert, Utah was going to head into this draft looking to add to a defense that took a step back overall this season.

The Jazz ranked 11th in the league in defensive rating prior to the season being suspended indefinitely. That would be their first time outside of the top 10 in that category since 2015 if they don’t move up during the season reboot next month.

Vernon Carey is a beast. He's over 260 lbs and plays like a slightly smaller version of Demarcus Cousins. The problem is that he lacks a bit of length that would make him ideal to play at the 5, and he's a bit big and slow to guard on the perimeter. This might limit him to being a backup 5. I don't think the Jazz would draft Carey, and there's just about no way the Jazz would pass on Patrick Williams, Aleksej Pokusevski and Kira Lewis to draft him.

If the Jazz are looking to add defense then Carey is not the answer. The person who wrote this article isn't the most knowledgeable around.

The positives Carey brings are size, ability to score around the rim, rebounding, age. Not defense. He's not a good defender at all.

He's also a 5 only on both ends of the floor. Pretty much the last thing that the Jazz will consider drafting with Rudy and Tony on the roster.

So someone that I know out of a mutual love for basketball has connections inside college basketball and he passed some info on to me regarding some off court stuff on Paul Reed, Reggie Perry and Jaden McDaniels. Let's just say it's not so great. I think I might move Reed down my board. I trust the source. You can take this FWIW and choose to believe or not.

If you watch some of those players, especially mcdaniels and reed im quite sure whatever your referencing does manifest itself in a negative way on-court too.. things like that usually do... Reed and McDaniels both get easily frustrated on the court, and start trying to make greedy plays and it compounds the issue..

I'd say reggie perry's on court issues are kinda more in the realm of being an airhead, Perry obviously has the 'tools' of a 1st rd pick...

why is someone like Paul Reed so skinny at 21 years old? does it not speak to a lack of discipline? I think it does...

That supporting cast Paul Reed had at DePaul, is probably way better than casual fans realize too... so that sorta "i'm gonna carry us to victory, even if were better off playing team ball" mindset was probably a bit toxic.. sometimes i'd be watching them (depaul was very entertaining, was saying it all season) and paul reed would just be in 'showcase mode', which im sure most all the players are in, but it shouldnt be so obvious...

Staying at home in Washington was a TERRIBLE idea for Jaden McDaniels. He needed to go somewhere like Kentucky and let Coach Cal pick him apart. Instead he stayed home and got coddled, and his stock tanked in the process.

Y'all might recall people had Jalen McDaniels projected as a 1st rd pick the last 2 drafts at some point, and he ends up barely getting drafted --- there was some issue with a girl on camera...

No one in this draft displays worse body language than Jaden McDaniels, thats no secret..... Utah will never draft that kid, unless their looking for a benchwarmer who's got a scowl on his face.

Just give us a taste. I imagine it’s drug-related or sexual assault in nature.

Most of the stuff about Reed and McDaniels is big concerns about whether they are willing to be coached and attitude related. What I was told about Perry was the same... plus something else.
