Scat is implying that the press are ready to declare a Biden victory, but that ultimately they will be wrong.
The person holding the newspaper in that picture is actually Harry Truman… Who won the election.
Here is the backstory:

I know what he was implying.
He is incorrect though. No one is declaring a Biden victory (well other than trump who is already saying he is going to fight the results in court so apparently trump has already decided that Biden is going to win) the media and press is simply reporting polling numbers. If the polling numbers had Trump on top then that's what the media would report. Polling numbers don't decide who wins though. Voting does that..... Well unless trump is successful at suppressing voters or he gets some conservative judges to rule in his favor like a good dictator should.

Join an Presidential election contest for bragging rights: Name election winner, number of electoral college votes, winner of the popular vote, and margin of victory% for popular vote. For example: Joe Schmo wins election with 300 electoral college votes. Bob Jones wins popular vote by a 2.1 % margin.

Contest closes at 7 PM Eastern on election day.

Scoring: 100 points for picking the right winner, minus 1 point for every electoral college vote error, minus 1 point for every 0.1% popular vote error.

I'll say Trump wins the election with 316 EVs, plus or minus 10. Trump should carry the same map as 2016, with the potential to flip MN, NV and NH. Trump wins the popular vote outside of California, but Calif. probably flips the popular vote over to Biden.

Okay -- So Trump 316 EVs. I'll go all in and say Trump wins the popular vote by 1%.

You need to give a differential to join the contest.

Here's a live look at the Republican Election Day turnout in Florida.

Republicans acting like they arm storming into war against the evil democrats. Ya I agree with your statement. I have seen the trucks with Trump flags looking a lot like ISIS trucks with their flags.

I'm glad I'm part of the group of Americans who want bridges rather than walls, unity rather than division, peace rather than war.

I'm other words you're really part of the middle majority. All the asshats demonstrating like that, on either side, are not generally representative of the majority, imo. Although I do believe that majority is shrinking as we become more and more polarized, and that should scare the **** out of everyone.

Agreed. I hope everyone remains calm tonight no matter what happens in the election.

AI may not always agree with you but your last sentence is great and I completely agree. I also place that about 95% on Trump and his bull **** scare tactics. As a career marketer it's pretty plain to see he is focusing on marketing over substance and his marketing is scaring the hell out of the religious, the poor, and the stupid.

I’m very optimistic about the election. Mainly because turnout this year is so massive. About 130 million votes were cast for president in 2016, 63 million for Trump and 66 million for Clinton. This year we could have 150 million or more. I just can’t believe there are that many hoopleheads itching to turn out for the first time to vote for an abject failure like Trump. Biden should get a solid majority of these new voters. My prediction for the popular vote is about 70 million for Trump and 80 million for Biden, a 10 million vote margin is a landslide and more than enough cushion for Biden to cruise in the Electoral College.

Wow, looks like someone was just a little too optimistic. More than 150 million have voted but way too many aparanetly are cool with a wannabe authoritarian as president. Biden may still win the popular vote by several million and squeak out a majority in the electoral college but every vote needs to be counted and it may take another day or two before a winner can be fairly determined, or weeks if there are recounts and court challenges.

Seriously, though. Are there any mainstream Protestants left in the US? Lutherans, Episcopalians, whatever your equivalent of our United Church of Canada is?
