Election Count Issues

Trump campaigns alternative facts: After Trump was elected, “many sought to undermine him, discredit him, delegitimize him and deny his victory,” McEnany said, adding, “There were no calls for unity; there were no calls for healing. ... Let us not forget the inexcusable transition, or lack thereof, that President Trump had to endure in 2016

What actually happened:
“We must accept this result and then look to the future. Donald Trump is going to be our president; we owe him an open mind and the chance to lead,” Clinton said. “Our constitutional democracy enshrines the peaceful transfer of power, and we don't just respect that, we cherish it.”

Later that day, President Barack Obama held a press briefing to offer his own message of unity to Americans. Obama vowed that there would be a smooth and peaceful transition into the Trump administration.

"I have instructed my team to follow the example that President Bush's team set eight years ago and work as hard as we can to make sure that this is a successful transition for the president-elect," Obama said. "We are now all rooting for his success in uniting and leading the country. The peaceful transition of power is one of the hallmarks of our democracy and over the next few months, we are going to show that to the world."
Two days after the 2016 election, then Vice President Joe Biden met with Vice President-elect Mike Pence, and Obama met with Trump to offer support for a smooth transition.

Trump is so trustworthy. He would never lie about anything.

McEnany claimed that Trump "was never given an orderly transition of power."

Facts First: This is false. Unlike the current administration, where the General Services Administration is blocking Biden's transition team from access to government tools and resources -- the Obama administration never denied Trump's victory and transitioned power to the incoming administration.

In 2016, Hillary Clinton conceded the race to Trump in the early morning after Election Day. Two days later, Biden met with then Vice-President elect Mike Pence and Obama met with Trump.

The Obama administration cooperated with Trump's transition team.

To make her point, McEnany tried to argue the FBI's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election -- a probe that later morphed into the Mueller investigation -- constituted a lack of an "orderly transition." But the investigation did not stall or block the Trump transition team.

McEnany again spread the baseless idea that mail-in ballots are susceptible to widespread fraud and suggested "there are real questions" over large scale mail-in voting.

Facts First: Election experts have told CNN time and time again that mail-in ballots are a safe form of voting and not subject to widespread fraud. There have been no reports from state election officials of either party of widespread voter fraud from mail-in ballots.

On November 12, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency issued a statement calling this year's election "the most secure in American history."

On November 17, Trump fired Chris Krebs, the director of the CISA, who continually debunked claims of widespread voter fraud following the election. In his tweet announcing Krebs' removal, Trump falsely claimed Krebs made "highly inaccurate" claims about the security of the 2020 election.

McEnany claimed the investigation led by Mueller "exonerated President Trump."

Facts First: This is false.

Mueller did not exonerate Trump. In fact, Mueller's final report explains that there was strong evidence that Trump obstructed justice, on several occasions. But Mueller decided not to make a decision on whether to charge Trump, for many reasons, including Department of Justice policy that a president "cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional."

The Mueller report also stated if his office "had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so."

How do trumpers see stuff like this and think its all good? Do they just not see stuff like this? Heads in sand too far?

You left out the part where these same people utilized federal agencies to spy on the Trump campaign, transition and administration. And also the part where the insiders leaked damaging "information," much of which seems to have had no basis in fact, to their friends in the media like screen doors in a hurricane. So called "fact-checkers" laughably claim that all of these accusations are without merit and have been debunked. It's as if they believe they have the power to cause obvious evidence to disappear simply by claiming that it doesn't exist. While these sorts of tactics are obviously satisfying to people who want the medias claims to be true, they have caused those who disagree with the medias objectives to completely lose respect. I could cite story after story where the media creates the interpretation they want simply by ignoring obvious facts that go against their narrative.

Some good analysis here. Basically, Biden needs to call this “election was rigged” ******** out. Now. It’s already too late for an all too frightening number of Americans, for whom the cement has already set. Conspiracism is now the default thinking mode of too many Americans. (Seen in a greater context, Trump, and Trumpism, represents a fundamental attack on human Reason. Capitalized. He is unleashing the irrational forces of mankind’s darker angels)Trump will always say he is the true president. He could only lose if the election was rigged, he primed the pump for that belief long ago. The deceit of a masterful cult leader.

But Biden does not have to even mention him by name. Just get in front of the cameras and talk about the Big Lie, talk about how damaging to our nation destroying trust is, talk about the consequences of allowing such lies to take hold.

Trump will never shut up. Biden needs to forcefully defend the integrety of our elections. Now.

Judges are scolding Trump campaign lawyers for their baseless lawsuits. Not the media (grr, hiss, boo, I go kookoo for crazypuffs every time I think about the MSM), not the Biden campaign, not George Soros. Judges, several of them Republicans. Basically telling Trump lawyers to get this nonsense BS out of their face and out of their courtroom.

You just keep your faith in your con man. How could any accusation be true about a man as great as Trump right?
Everything and everyone is conspiring against trump. The media, the Dems, the courts, time magazine, Nobel people, the emmys, the irs, the FBI, the other countries of the world, fox news (when they disagree with him), people within Trump's own cabinet that he put in place (if they disagree with him), Republicans (if they disagree with him), voting machines, ballots, the post office.
That is the first thing I always look for in a great leader. Someone that everyone would rather conspire against than work with.

This **** is like a football game that ends 13-36 and the team that lost stays on the field throwing, and missing, hail mary after hail mary, thinking that if they can just get a couple completions they might still win the game. Meanwhile everyone else has gone home.

Sad

That's what Joe and the rest of his ilk don't seem to understand. It isn't just the media who seems to be against trump.

There is always a common denominator here. Trump. Maybe he is the problem?

Here is a GOP former governor of michigan:
“What’s troubling through all this is the president’s behavior — and that of the people on his legal team,” Snyder said. “They’re actually undermining democracy with their actions.

“I’m concerned about the damage that’s going to go on for the next several years in terms of misinformation, creating doubts in the minds of his supporters, things like that,” he said. “There’s a lot of damage. President Trump has done terrible things. This man is the divider-in-chief of our nation.”

Now is that msm attacking trump or is it a former GOP governor. Is the GOP also conspiring against trump? Oh i forgot, anyone who is critical of his holiness donald trump is conspiring against him right?

Key battleground states are moving closer to certifying Biden victories. On Monday, the same day Michigan’s board is expected to meet and certify Biden’s win, officials in Arizona and Pennsylvania counties are also required to finalize the results in their jurisdictions. With Georgia already certifying Biden’s victory there, the net result appears to leave no path for the president to delay the outcome — barring some last-ditch intervention by a state or federal judge, which so far none have seemed inclined to do.

Trumps strategists are seeking any avenue to prevent Biden from becoming president. So far nothing is working. Im worried his last ditch hail mary effort will be to call his supporters to arms and start a civil war. Would you support dear leader if that is what he asked of you? How indoctrinated are you exactly?

Ok thanks. Do you know how they did a full recount? Was it by hand or some other way? I'm guessing not by hand counting actual ballots cuz that wouldn't make sense since they were cast on maxhines right? So how do you do a "full recount" in the first place?
Today I learned that there are paper receipts that come from the machines.
Officials always compare the transmitted results to paper receipts from the original machines before certifying the outcome.
This article has lots of good stuff for you to read: https://www.yahoo.com/news/the-2020...re-all-the-facts-that-prove-it-184623754.html

All of this crap that the trump team is spouting is exactly that. Crap. Trump is a traitor to this country and is trying to bring it down because he is a childish baby and is throwing a temper tantrum (and is probably scared of what will happen to him after leaving the office of the presidency in the courts)

I have voted on the machines that print the receipt. Once you're done voting there is a paper receipt under a piece of plastic that shows what your votes were. You can look right at it. If you were driving up and down Redwood Rd the day before flying your trumptard flags on your jacked up truck and you look down and see commie *** Biden on your receipt I imagine you're gonna start hootin' and hollerin' and making a mighty fuss. Someone's gonna need to abide this injustice.

Yet here we are, not a single account of such drama.

When a Trump supporter tried to use reviewing a play in a football game as an analogy for not declaring a winner, while being interviewed by Jorden Klepper, that was basically the analogy Klepper used as a comeback....

Dude, the media has blatantly and repeatedly lied to you about things that easy to check. What makes you think they aren't lying about things that take a tiny bit more investigation? Many people who have bothered with that sort of inquiry agree that the lies are pervasive.

We both have stated that Trump is not some great man so let's just agree to set that issue aside. I will contend, though, that if the media chose to portray Biden or Obama or Bush or Clinton or you or anyone else in the most negative light possible that they could make all of those people look extremely bad and turn a large segment of the population against them. They have been absolutely deranged in their portrayal of Trump and your post earlier in this thread which repeated many of their wild exaggerations proves that you have bought into whatever they tell you.

A group of Republicans are launching a lawsuit that claims a state law passed in 2019 allowing for universal mail-in voting is unconstitutional.

The bill was passed over a year ago, raising questions as to why its constitutionality wasn't brought up between then and now. Plus, it was pushed through thanks to a majority GOP state legislature, with only one Republican member of the state House voting against it, while GOP senators backed it unanimously.

LOL

If I cannot trust the media, I do believe I can trust Chris Krebs. Being fired by Trump for saying the election was secure, for contradicting Trump in other words, is, by now good evidence that Krebs was right, and Trump is wrong.

And I think trump knows this. I don't think he expected to find any really fraud. I think he just wants chaos and division.
