I feel like Locke has said Conley was one of the higher catch and shoot guys in the league so not the worst thing ever, obviously hindsight is 20/20. It’ll be nice to have his handling skills in the second unit, Joe turns over balls a lot. I still think we move him by the deadline tho.
Exactly. We should have made this move a long time ago. The Conley trade was a really, really bad decision.

His usage was higher than his career average, and a bit lower than the past few years. I think when people say point guard, it's clear what we're talking about. What they're saying is that (presumably) we're not going to be forcing things through Conley, which we seemed to do last year by a default because... he's the point guard and he's Mike Conley.
It’s just funny when management gets to the same spot a bunch of us were two years ago. Would be nice if the front office had enough vision to go this route before making a huge trade to address the need we didn’t really have. Mike still has obvious value but nothing near what we paid for in a trade and nothing near what his contract is... but we oh well I guess.
