Jazz weaknesses

MVP level player that just dominates every game. Teams can do it without one but its rare.
I fully believe Donovan- while not at MVP level, is at the point in which once the playoffs start, he flips the switch from 23ppg to 40.

The Jazz have finally built a roster that can survive a subpar night from Donovan and still win a game handily. In theory, we’re even insulted enough to have a bad game from one or 2 of our main players and still be able to win games. The odds of Mitchell, Conley, Clarkson, Bogey, and Ingles all having bad shooting nights on a night in which Gobert is having an ineffective evening is just mathematically minuscule.

This team is a monster. I personally think they’re the deepest team in the NBA, we’re going to the WCF’s, and I won’t be shocked to see us in the Finals. Literally, our biggest weakness right now is when they don’t wear the yellow uni’s.

Come at me.

This jazz team is incredible no doubt. My main concern is guarding big men in the playoffs. Rudy is Rudy. But I’m not sure even he can stop an Anthony Davis in the playoff or Jokic. I’m strangely not worried about the clippers but the Lakers boy...they played pretty good 3 point D and stopped Donovan every time we played them last year. They are just bigger than us.

Don't worry, the officiating team will be instructed to make sure a larger market team with better star power wins it all. Better for entertainment value and the bottom line.
If you believe that, why are you watching NBA?

The biggest weakness is when shots stop falling they start to hang their head and play lazy defense allowing sub par teams the opportunity to get within striking distance. Come playoff time, this isn't going to fly.

Tell me about the player who can stop AD and Jokic

Donovan mitchell did in fact do that. However, was his first round last year a surprise to most? Yes. Do we expect him to that again. Nope.

Well since it had never been done before, I dont expect him to do it again.

My point was aimed towards the statement that we lack a "superstar". We had a superstar last postseason and nobody else really stepped up consistently.

Because it's entertaining. Duh. You know movies aren't real but you watch them. Why?

I always find the black-and-white view of this interesting. It’s as if people assume the league would have to be sitting in a dark room, writing out every outcome down to the final point, and since this is totally unrealistic, then we must be witnessing one of the most pure enterprises in recorded human history, where player effort and skill is the only realistic variable in every outcome. This blinds us from the reality of the league’s ability, and desire, for putting wind in the sails of certain narratives and storylines.

For anyone who’s ever used a Ouija Board, what the Ouija Board says is a representation of the participants’ collective desires, but this fact often tends to elude them, as their influence over it is largely outside their conscious awareness.

Yeah I love stoking that fire.

Slavko Vranes. Him or Pavel Podkolzin.

No one can stop them but I worry we rely too heavily on Rudy defensively. Against smaller teams it’s doable. Bigger teams we might struggle...

Also Rudy in the post against Denver was crucial to getting a 3-1 lead then we stopped shooting well and it led to loss after loss after loss. Rudy needs plenty of touches in the post if we aren’t shooting well. But if the guy guarding him is AD will he score enough to get over the hump?
