What's new

Elijah Millsap: Lindsey in exit interview: “if u say one more word, I’ll cut your Black *** and send you back to Louisiana”.

Quin did more than say he cant remember. He also said he cant imagine DL ever saying something like that.
Thanks for the additional quote.

We must remember that DL also has some power over Quin, they have a strong working relationship, and is the person who ultimately hired Quin. Similar power dynamics are also at play. I hope Quin wouldnt lie, but I also think the comment is one that anyone could make. I think I could possibly say that if I were in DL's shoes out of anger.

Also, we must remember that Quin supports republican party bigots through donations, like Burgess Owens (who has very strong takes on BLM and NBA players protesting). He was also fired from his first HC'ing job for sleeping with a player's girlfriend in a utility closet (allegedly). Quin isnt a saint.

I have never once said he is or was a racist, which further highlights how blind you are in this manner and how you are simply acting out of emotion, maybe out of guilt for your own actions ( I dont know, just speculating for the source of your stupidity).

Him being a racist is kind of the crux of the whole thing now isn't it. You are ready to fire him and ruin his entire career. People are probably going to push back a little on that and it doesn't really have anything to do with systematic racism.

You can't fix prevalent racist attitudes with ad-hoc executions based on unsubstantiated, out-of-character accusations. If Linsey IS a racist, there will be a body of work. Yeah, THEN he should not be employed by the Jazz.

I just pray to God that you aren't in a "position of authority" over anyone that entails anything important in their life, because their life would probably be a nightmare. Look at the way you can spin an entire racist conspiracy out of wholecloth.

No, like I said to the other less than able brained person, read my post. Racism isn't a binary, black/white, yes/no, this side/that side thing.

And yes, you can help fix racist acts like this with these kinds of things. If you dont think the movement to highlight these kind of power dynamic abuses hasnt changed workplace culture, I dont know what to tell you.

And DL's career wouldn't be ruined. He has more than enough money to retire on. He has ton of ties. I'm sure he could get hired at Baylor where they barely even care if their coaches cover up massive sexual assault scandals. He could start over and work his way back up just like Quin did after his Missouri scandal.

I'm actually analyzing all the motives and past actions of everyone in account to determine the plausibility to claims. But keep holding onto your white supremacy comfort blanket lmfao.

I think anybody stating that it 100% didn’t happen, or 100% did happen, is off course.

People, of course, do lie. No matter their situation. There have been numerous ones recently where people of all race and wealth levels have made up stories for the emotional trauma and attention. The most prolific example was probably Jussie Smollett. To act like it doesn’t happen is foolish. People lie for clout every single day.

At the same time, to minimize accusers based on other people lying is foolish too. Every account should be listened to, and some are more obviously true than others.

One more thing I haven’t seen anybody mention is that Rudy Gobert did talk about it as well. He said that he was close with Elijah, he had never heard anything about this before, and that he planned on talking to Eijah about it after the game. If it was me, I know I would’ve told my close teammates, but everybody is different. Can’t judge based on what I would have done.

Finally, Lindsey (some of you need to figure out how to spell a name, good grief) has been in the NBA since the early 90’s I think. If this was a thing he had a habit of, and I’ve been told by so many people, if he’s done it once, he’s done it a lot of times, then we would have a lot of examples of it.

I think we need a little more time and information before any judgment can be made. Pretty simple.

You’re analyzing all the angles, but there’s no way Elijah lied?

I don’t think analyzing all the angles means what you think it does.

I think you need to look yourself in the mirror buddy. You come off as extremely racist.
