It's seems I am vain enough to write this post.

Recently, I referred to our recent anti-vax poster as a "lover of human slaughter". I was informed Thursday that this falls under the categorization of 'We cannot allow users to be abusive, overly aggressive, threatening, or to "troll".' I considered the sentence accurate rather than abusive, not threatening in any way, and an understatement, if anything. However, I don't make the rules, and I don't protest the reprimand in any way.

One thing I do value is the implied contract I make every time I post a comment in here. So, I took a couple of days to let any emotions subside, and make sure of what I felt to be the right thing. I consider every post to be a promise I will behave according to the rules. If the comment above is against the rules, I have decided that I can no longer make that promise to the administrators/moderators, because we have a divide between we as being aggressive, threatening, or trolling with regard to anti-vaxxers. If I can't promise to fulfill my part of the bargain, I have no right to enter into it.

So, good-bye all. I have learned so much here over the years, and have nothing but gratitude for Jason, colton, and various members of the moderation team over the years. Were I to list individual posters that I have learned from, I could probably type out 100 handles and still leave people out. Thank you all very much.

If you're gonna quit then I highly recommend you quit Archie Moses style.

Drop that **** in the heat of the moment and see who cares then realize, it doesn't matter.

Maybe you're prouder than me, but if you are gone, the board will miss you. 100%

Your questions to people responses are world class.

If you do come back, there's no shame, my man. I think I've done it 14 times.

Definitely going to miss One Brow. He wins my award for best avatar. We've disagreed on a lot of topics over the years, but I think we've always been cordial. Two things that I think could drastically improve our GD area:

1- Remember that if someone disagrees with you, it's not necessarily an attack on you or your identity.
2- When you are messaging or responding to someone directly, don't write something you wouldn't say to their face directly.

I'm guilty of not following the above all the time. It seems like most of our discussions that go off the rails violates one of the two ideas above.

Here's a bit of parody of The Lady and The Highwayman replacing "chivalry..... "Rules are for fools. Fun stuff, really.

Nobody consistently follows them unless they are hellbent on making it to the insane asylum. Common sense works better sometimes. Like a cop who can resist writing a speeding ticket to someone in an emergency, say taking someone to a hospital.

I wouldn't write anything for anybody that I'd say to their face unless they were already laughing and enjoying the banter.

But I intend to maybe provoke a different line of thought. Not necessarily exactly mine. I swear if I ever met someone who agreed with me, I'd have to change my mind before I could lose my mind.

what is a troll????? Someone with no humor or no respect. An angry parent-enabled basement dungeon ogre, maybe. Maybe a road warrior for some petty cause that will be gone and forgotten in the next war. Wars, like Congressional Acts, are always perversely given opposite names...... Like "The War to Make the World Safe for Democracy" and "The War to End All Wars""

I'm guessing we have a "War to Save The Trailer Trash" on tap in Sonoma county after Guv Gruesome is recalled......

The mods are right to take a stand against extreme judgments with any reference to anyone's right to life. We are talking, supposedly, because we have ideas that can cut their own way sometimes if they are really good. Change minds voluntarily. Maybe while laughing, or even just smiling.

OB's greatest moments were when he could keep his cool and take a respectful rational view supported by information we might not have yet.


If anyone really misses OB, go visit him on his blog "Life, the Universe, and One Brow. Obviously a perfectly ordered logical sequence or topics from least to greatest.

But, really..... OB.....

Come back when you've rested up a bit.

To be clear, Archie's site was for Ain'tnuthin. OB and mods came there some, but there's no way any alt Jazz site is ever gonna displace JazzFanz. They just don't get the kind of professional fans we get here, and so can go nowhere. Even sites sponsored by the Jazz and homie sports stations don't get our pros. lAnd we get some real Jazz p0layers in here to, under alts of course.

No one but OB can clear that one, of course,.

If you followed the time/space continuum debate on relativic issues like time travel eith in here or over on OB's blog, you'd have to figure it as a world record for alt/alt fake discussions. And he did it again on Archie's site.

I was inspired and considered trying to do a more impressive longest show ever, but ultimately just had to admit I couldn't match him, or Peeks either.

However, I did get a reference from Ain't to an Illinois-based college prof who agreed with me in three sentences.

Time travel violates the requirements of path-dependent transformations, laws of conservation of mass and energy, and thermodynamics regarding the second law.

So it was all bunk.

Einstein was wrong on that one, but progressives love their lies too much to ever admit to being wrong.

Besides being a medical professional, how do you come up with your basketball proficiency?
