The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Ouch CJ McCollum is out for awhile with a collapsed lung. That team might be in the worst position in the NBA right now.
I feel bad for them. Portland is one of my favorite teams outside Utah, and Dame is a class act, as is McCollum. Hate to see that.

Now if it were the Lakers...well where's the ****ing party? I'ma get so drunk!

My brother in law has issues with that. It has been a re-occurring issue for him and he ended up having a fairly serious surgery to correct it. Hopefully CJ doesn't have the underlying issue he does.

Garrison Mathews had 19 for them last night. Good thing we didn't sign him when he was on waivers. WTF is going on with the Bulls. Five players out with Covid including Matty Ice. They got the OK from the league to sign another player and they signed Stanley Johnson who was on the Lakers GLeague team.

Garrison can't be good and helping a team... all 30 teams passed on offering him an nba contract. Even though every team in the league wants more shooting... and he shoots the **** out of the ball.

He's a great example of how it is possible for 29 or 30 teams to miss on a guy

He originally signed with the Wiz as an undrafted free agent out of some non-descript league. He was the victim of a coaching change there, signed with the Celtics got cut in training camp and turned down their two way offer to sign a two way with the Rockets. If we had offered him a two way, he would have played as much as Fitts or Oni this year.

I know… I’m not lamenting it. Just saying that teams miss so don’t assume that an unsigned guy sucks or can’t help.

That was weird. It wasn't like he was some hidden prospect, he was getting minutes and putting up numbers with the Wizards.

Think he held on for more than the minimum and was stuck with the 2-way to stay in the league. Dunno, though. He wasn't on the court for Rockets either for most of the season.

Most dudes who arent signed to a NBA contract suck. For example: Me.
I agree you suck total ***… what were we talking about?

I just dont want to hear… “player X can’t help no one… he ain’t even signed”. Sometimes they can… lots of guys bounce around a bit and there are usually a couple guys that sign late for cheap and everyone flips out and says “how was that guy available”.

It's mostly situation and fit. Is Quinn going to give someone a chance to play claimed off wavers or cut from another team with our roster? No way in hell, he's too rigid with his lineups. (And to be honest, if you're referring to Dunn I don't see there ever being a chance of it happening.)

One guy I’ve mentioned is Langston Galloway. I think he’s better than Forrest and Oni. If we had to rely long term on Forrest for more than 3 minutes a night I’d be willing to bet we sign someone.

But yeah… I said that is why I’m not lamenting it.

There are no good single women. If they were good, they wouldn’t be single. The only good ones are taken. But a good one can’t go through a divorce or separation, because if they were so good then nobody would have let them go. Since it’s impossible to find a good woman, the only reasonable solution is to stay single. Forever.

That's why I'm into bad women. Makes life so much easier.

Garrison Matthews is still OP with his shooting form. Dude literally cannot be guarded because he jumps 5 feet forward.

Also, thank god for Shaq Harrison. This is hilarious.

This might be your worst analogy yet haha.
