he claims it was an admin error by his manager which is prob BS but the govt accepted that response. That's not why he was deported. The result of his appeal very specifically said it wasn't because his paperwork was incorrect. He was deported unilaterally by the federal minister on the basis that he might be basically a disturbance to the public good, not because he lied on his forms or wasn't vaccinated.

It’s truly amazing to the extent that some people are arguing just because they want to wage a culture war against those they hate (usually to the detriment of themselves). Whether it’s tennis or with trans sports. People who couldn’t name a single competition that this tennis player has won and people who couldn’t name a single WNBA player now suddenly want to die on a hill arguing nonsensical things all because they want to “own” their perceived political enemies. It’s really getting out of hand.

Why do conservative white males feel this need to prove themselves by being anti vax? Why are so many conservative white males falling for Trump and Trumpism? Why are so many falling for the likes of Rogan, Bannon, Bongino, Shapiro, and Carlson? Is it the availability of online content? Is it the lack of social connections with actual human beings? Is it changing economics? Is it the failure of organized religion to be relevant in the 21st century? Is it boredom? I’m painting in wide brush strokes here but generally speaking the conservative white male across several industrialized countries seem to be in a crisis morally, emotionally, and socially… not too dissimilar from Arabic males in the late 90s and early 2000s forming the backbone of radical Islam.

Saw the mask mandate in SLCO was overturned today which I expected to happen from this legislature.

I have a real problem with the state decrying federal oversight and 'let local governments govern locals' yet those same state representatives can't help but impose their will on local governments when they're now calling the shots. Hypocrisy indeed, but that's what happens when you have politicians try to determine community health interests.

Our system of government relies upon that intrinsic aspect of human nature. Officials at various levels and different branches of government all trying to gain as much power for themselves works to check & balance the power of the other officials at various levels and different branches of government trying to do the same for themselves. Devils are always drawn to the levers of power and so the founders created a system to be run by devils. Socialists have the naive view that society will work for the betterment of all and that is why it always fails. Our founders had no such illusions and we've been going strong for almost a quarter millennia now.

Before the Utah House voted 45-29 to repeal the Salt Lake and Summit county mask requirements, House leaders and Republican members of the Salt Lake County council took two fellow GOP members to the woodshed to try to bully them into rescinding the requirement on their own.
Council Chairwoman Laurie Stringham and Councilwoman Aimee Winder Newton — the two Republican council members who voted with Democrats to keep the county health department’s mask order in place — were summoned to House Speaker Brad Wilson’s office Thursday morning, along with House Majority Leader Mike Schultz and Republican members of the county council who backed rescinding the mandate.

The group took turns berating the two councilwomen for voting to uphold the county’s mask order and pressuring them to change their votes and rescind the mandate, sparing the House from having to take the controversial vote.

House leaders bullied two Salt Lake County Council Republicans to change their votes on the COVID mask mandate. They didn’t budge.

Because he’s been double vaccinated. You know it makes sense. Cuz rules. The WHO specifically says there is no evidence to vaccinate younger ppl previously Covid positive with a booster. The CDC specifically says data now shows natural immunity is better than having been vaccinated. The CEO of Pfizer says the current shot doesn’t really work. The CDC says the vaccines can’t stop transmission. Australia is a hotbed of Omicron infections atm, mostly thankfully very mild.

But the Australian government stops an unvaccinated tennis player coming n purely because he might whip up abroad sentiment whil allowing a CURRNETLY POSITIVE tennis player into the country. Cuz rules. Rules are rules and they have to be adhered to. Yay us.

This is the second time you've misrepresented what the CDC says. I'm on the verge of just throwing you in the liar camp and ignoring you.

The absolute golden standard of resistance to COVID is previous infection AND vaccination. Assuming your first infection does not kill you or cause long term harm, you are in the best possible position moving forward having been infected and vaccinated.

So when you decide to tell us all what the CDC says, please go ahead and tell what the CDC says.
